Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg has passed away

Oh dang, I missed how republicans accused Merrick Garland of being a rapist who ran an underage sex ring
No, he just didn't get a vote. They literally allowed his nomination to sit for 10 months. So, that tweet you posted which said that "we must have a full court" by election day? That was bs, wasn't it?

It doesn’t get more humane than campaigning on economic opportunity for every person and specifically blacks Hispanics and working class person of any race creed and color, and then actually fighting unfair trade practices and revising ****** trade deals to make that actually happen.

What is not humane is an “economic new normal” platform of 1-2% growth in perpetuity “jobs that aren’t coming back”, and the promise of a government plantation of subsistence living if we would only eat the rich in sufficient numbers. Which requires just listening and believing the great Oz and never looking behind the curtain at the simple math.
I think you have the talking points down pat.

This doesn't surprise me, I disagreed with some of her politics but respected her accomplishments. Especially as a father of a young girl I am especially grateful of her championing women. As many have said the country would have been better served if she would have resigned some time back but I'm sure her work ethic and sense of duty would not have allowed it.

RIP RBG.

Sooner or later if the same cosmic injustices keep happening , there should be a looking in the mirror moment . There’s always a reason things happen .
I haven't noticed the same cosmic injustices. I've only noticed a horrible national mistake and the unfortunate but foreseeable aftereffects.

I think the continuum is closer to a magic 8 ball . You Pretty much just keep shaking it around until the answer you want comes up . But I’m only 98.7% positive on that one so there’s a chance I could be wrong . 😂

Luther probabilities to a decimal point..luv it.

I disagree. What is this fascination with being a centrist? Trying to cater to both political ideologies out of some misplaced sense of being viewed as centrist is, in fact, antithetical to and the opposite of constitutionalism.

Put a damned constitutionalist in, period.

To me, it’s not catering to two ideologies. I believe if you’re a true constitutionalist, some issues come down, what would be considered at one time or another, slightly left. For instance, gay marriage. While I can disagree with it from a personal or religious standpoint, it’s really not the place of the federal govt to insert itself, IMO. Other issues come down right of center. I would like a justice that issues a ruling in line with the constitution and limiting govt intrusion.

Not sure how you equate the two scenarios. SCOTUS nominations right before an election and packing. As mentioned what is the drop dead date? If we are that far gone, lets just go ahead and get it over with.
It’s a natural escalation from the McConnel rule. Which was a natural escalation of the nuking of the filibuster. It’s coming. I could almost see Roberts stepping down to restore the 2016 status quo and prevent it, but not quite.

Exactly its say more than anything that leftists don't want someone who is a Constitutionalist, because they know their beliefs run contrary to it
