Maryland has for years been a democrat haven. Why would MD seek to disenfranchise what amounts to sure dem voting blocs at either the state or local level? Perhaps you added 1+1 and got 0? Sometimes the truth isn't as simple as it might seem. And by the way, the governor referenced in the MD article is R (the first in a while) the rest of the state is solidly under control of the dems.

For you to have reasonable takes on the sports boards, I'm amazed at the sheer ignorance you exude on here. I can see luther, evil, and many other libs that post here because they know more about homemaking than they do sports. Trump has taken numerous open question press conferences.

As a matter of fact, when Trump was running for POTUS he was on every network all the time. They couldn't get enough because thy didn't expect him to win. Now they either don't want to interview him because they are pissed they gave him a forum or they want to get him come on so they can treat it like a Jerry Springer show. They are not interested in giving hin a fair shake because they've been trying to get him impeached as part of the DNC press corp.

It actually costs less to rent a car for that little trip to and from the airport than to pay parking for a trip more than a couple of days or a cab - cab rates aren't set by the mile - they are locale based rates "negotiated" by the city. Just ways that costs and benefits are frequently shifted from "affluent" to "oppressed" neighborhoods.

Actually, as Trump loves to point out, he did graduate from an Ivy League school (Penn). However, per his own family, he did have to pay someone to take the SAT for him. And the first part of this sentence is comical. Trump flies in the face of common sense and good taste.

I live close to western Maryland and no, it’s not “solidly under control of the Dems”.

Why would anyone seek to disenfranchise anybody else in a truly free democratic society? That’s the point.

You seem to think it's a nefarious, organized scheme to disenfranchise voters and have yet to prove it.

How about somebody campaign on funding to provide ADA compliant and more voting places in those areas impacted by the poll closures? How about Governors or whomever is in charge of election boards get off their collective duff and do something about it?

This has been going on since the SCOTUS decision in 2013. It's not a new decision but seems to be crucial now in 2020. Does anyone wonder why?

I have repeatedly stated I am not a Biden "fan."

Trump is a million times worse.

I think the Hillary effect is going to be the Trump effect this time. Many voters will turn out just because they hate Trump like many voted due to hating HRC.

I agree with your analysis at least part of the time on non partisan issues, but this is one where we aren't going to see eye to eye. The dems check almost all the blocks in having control of MD; the fact that the gov and lt gov are R says they don't have a stranglehold. I'd guess that a electoral map of MD (like most states) is red outside the metropolitan areas - the urban areas (like the notoriously corrupt and incompetent Montgomery Co) if large enough generally rule states like MD.

Cumberland, Hagerstown, Fredericksburg, the Delmarva, and the suburbs West and NE of Baltimore have a big say.
