2020 Presidential Race

No one could work for DeVos without surrendering their soul.

Lets trade "brain" for "soul", and you got a deal. But it's no different from what happens in business and other government positions all across the country. There's a real lack of leadership across the country - not just in DC and not just in Trump appointees.

I agree. Personally I’d like to see absentee ballots done away with with exceptions for the military, foreign service And civilians working abroad.

With voting season rather than election day, you hit the nail on the head - not much excuse for not finding some time to vote in person. Maybe if we trimmed voting season, there could be funding for more polling locations on election day and fewer reasons to complain about wait time.

Wow, impressive.

And that makes Trump different from other CEOs, politicians, and political appointees how exactly? Before you answer consider the last guy was going to "fundamentally change" the country that everybody else apparently wants to be. Also consider a concerted political/corporate effort to give American jobs away - even ratified by treaties. Further consider that corporations were parking profits elsewhere and why; but, then, we understand the lack of leftist understanding about the relationship between corporate taxes and where corporations might want to call home - and who actually pays the corporate taxes in the long run.

Hopefully the courts toss it. Fed Gov has no business in state schools

The are already there. Both DOEs need to be disbanded as a start to reforming the feds. The Dept of Energy might have a role in strategic concerns with respect to crises, but federal agencies in general haven't actually added much support when times got tough - certainly not when the cost of operation (paid by our taxes) is concerned.

Getting caught up on posts and news after taking a direct hit from Sally...I'll never complain about shoveling snow in TN ever again after having to use a chain saw to cut thru 3 large trees just to get out of my driveway View attachment 307244

Figured out after the Chattanooga tornado earlier this year, that evergreens have crappy root systems and don't handle wind well.

Looks like a yellow or loblolly pine in his pic. Either way, really shallow root systems with little spread. Not good for wind or high water tables from flooding.

Mine were Leyland Cyprus, and we were a mile outside the official tornado zone. Saw an office complex bordered with evergreens afterwards, and they were all parallel on the ground. Something I hadn't paid attention to before but will keep in mind in the future.

You know this how? You aren't black and I doubt that you live in a black neighborhood or work with a lot of black co-workers.

AP-NORC poll: Trump adds to divisions in an unhappy country - "Most Americans — including 63% of Republicans — say the country is heading in the wrong direction. And close to two-thirds — including 37% of Republicans — say Trump is making America more divided."

So I should be able to have an AR15 sent Usps to my front door? Sounds good to me.
Geez. We're in a pandemic and voting by mail is a legal form of voting. Voter fraud is one of the biggest boogeyman myths, of many, perpetuated by the Right, and eaten up by the FoxNews regurgitators. Plus, if you really want that 10th AR15 for when the zombie apocalypse comes or when the liberal cannibalistic child predators come to your home, then you'll have to brave that big, bad, scary world to get it.

Republicans don't want to expand polling locations on election day, they want to reduce them, because guess where those reductions predominantly occur??
