2020 Presidential Race

Sad that it’s been that long. Dude was a pretty good president. Should have had the wife eliminated with all the others in whitewater though
My Dad always told me he was one of those Southern Democrats that jumped teams after Carter's term. He still speaks pretty well of Clinton, hates Hill Dog.. He likes Carter as a person, but he will raise hell about his Presidency to this day. Lol

My dad voted for Carter the first time, and jumped ship for Reagan. Then, he got back on board for Clinton's first term.

I was just a kid in the 90s, born in 91. My family are mostly Republicans but always spoke well about Clinton and admit the years were great. I believe the 90s were the last great decade. I believe if the Dems today used the New Democrat philosophy, they’d likely win.

Same with my pops. Younger Bush was when he really started calling himself a Republican. He was not a fan of Gore.

I started noticing Gore lying on stage or changing his story based on his audience. That was the first chink in my armor.

That about sums it up for alot pf people. Stagflation would killed any Presidency. Think about taking a mortgage out for 15-20%

14% mortgage interest rates, sky high un-employment rates, but other than not being able to find a job and not being able to afford a mortgage, yeah things were just Jim Dandy swell.
Holy cow look at these rates.
Low. High. Ave.

I'm not much older than you, and that was mostly how my family was toward the end of the 90s. They fully transitioned to being Republicans with the 2000 campaign/election.

79-81 look brutal. Like taking a paycut every year. Wonder what they did to reverse course over a few years. Pump money supply?
I'm sure one of the old timer's remember.

But would increased money supply increase inflation??? Less purchasing power, right?
