I’m def pro not solely building around pitching, but you have to be able to evaluate your own players. These are the same clowns that said Ian wasn’t ready... Coppy would have taken chances with trades

Only guys that’s improved since Kranitz got here is Fried (who was good in 2018 anyways) and Luke Jackson. AA gonna have to make some tough decisions no matter what happens this year

Not all on Kranitz but whatever happened between 2018 and 2019 needs to be reversed immediately.

(By the way Jackson has become a pumpkin again)

True. I’m not sure what the complete issues are. What boggles my mind is these guys have looked great in the minors. Then they come up here and they’re all the same. Bad fastball location, delivery problems, and nobody can pitch out of the stretch.

I’d have given up Wright, Touki and Newk for Yelich right about now.

I agree about the prospects, but this whole situation is completely unworkable. These guys are +7 right now and they’re going to be lucky to finish 2-4 games over .500. Can’t blow through this many starters and get away with it long term.

They need two starters for next year. Soroka/Fried/Anderson look good. But they need a Bauer type ace (yes everyone needs one) to really help. AA has been trying to put a bandaid on a knife wound since he got here and it’s been a complete disaster.

The problem is I got a bad feeling Liberty is going to slash payroll.

Hilarious to watch Sixto and Wright pitching and how much better Sixto is yet three years younger. So frustrating.

I think Sixto has a chance to be a Top 20 pitcher in a few years so it’s not really ~that~ crazy. The only real crazy part is that the Braves can’t even make these hyped up prospects show glimpses other than Ian, Mike and Max. It’s a really, really bad detriment to our entire farm staff.

I guess my point is how much our development sucks. We took the best college pitcher in the draft from the best school in the country at developing MLB pitchers and of course he sucks. Meanwhile a 21 year old in his fourth career start that signed for $35,000 looks so much better than him.

With Melancon, Hamels and Ozuna coming off the books, they should have some money.

And hey the good news is Max, Soroka and Ian is a great foundation and top 3 (although Soroka’s durability is a huge concern). But the fact that we can’t get guys like Touki/Wright/Wilson/Newk to at least be average is infuriating.

Sure, but with COVID-19 and Liberty basically not funneling any money to the Braves (remember the Braves operate all within what they make) it could be bad.
