Idk, maybe in run throughs, but it's not like a scrimmage or something. JS. I think he was gassed up a little the way it was read by us fans and later mods sort of watered down those reports. Is what it is.

They had me excited too until Callahan started putting em into context.
Does that mean Hill was throwing to him when he was unstoppable?

According to OurLads, at least 7 off their 2-deep defense:

Starters:
Keir Thomas - DT RS SR
Jahmar Brown - WLB SO
Jammie Robinson - S SO

2nd String:
Mike Wyman - WR FR
Rodricus Fitten - BUCK RS FR
Rosendo Louis Jr - MLB RS SO
John Dixon - LCB SO
If any of the players are suspended, Muschamp will probably get to decide which games they are suspended for. They will all play against UT.

Yeah I don’t really think much will come from it as far as suspensions etc. But it’s an added distraction for the staff, and it’s indicative of the kind of chit show program muschamp is running.

Say something enough, no matter how bizarre, and you’ll eventually begin to believe it (hey, I hope he does, as well)

It’s JGs second year with Chaney, and I think the only time he’s ever had an OC for two years in a row. Chaney has a track record of producing good QBs. He also has a history of fixing broken UT QBs. Peterman and Crompton went from unwatchable to NFL players under Chaney. JG also has an excellent Oline, good RBs, and tall receivers to rely on to make him look better. I choose to believe.

How worried should we be about canceled scrimmages? Navy hadn’t been able to all pre-season and looked awful. That’s not the only reason they were blown out, but it makes you wonder.

Wienke saying JG's "anticipation" has improved considerably gives me a bit of hope. Part of that is innate, some QB’s just can see the play as it develops better, but a larger part is learned. Plus, you have to trust your receivers to see what you are seeing. JG can do it; we saw it in the biggest play of the bowl game. With Vols desperately needing a big play late in the game, Indiana blitzes the boundary side corner. JG sees it, and Palmer sees it and sits down in the area the CB vacated instead of continuing his route into the safety that is rolling over. Big catch and then we get the 15 yards tacked on for the face mask and it was just a different Tennessee team from there to the finish. JG can do it; the question is will he do it and do it consistently. As for me? Heck as the Monkey’s once said, “I’m a believer, I couldn’t leave her (UT) if I tried!” GBO

I have mixed feelings on this. I think he is good at putting his players in a position to succeed in his offense, and minimize their weaknesses. I also think he is an elite offensive play caller.

That being said, I think when people start touting how great of a qb coach he is, they forget about how terrible Tebow’s mechanics are (which sunk his NFL career), how much work Dak put in outside of MSU to be an elite passer, and how terrible as a passer and reading coverages Fitzgerald was.

But, he also helped put Alex Smith in the NFL, which are two more successful QBs than a lot of college OCs can say they have put in the NFL.

I don’t know. He’s a weirdo. He’s a gator. I choose to just hate him regardless.
