I never said that. You made that assumption. With all the evidence we have about how Trump talks to people, the fact you find it impossible for him to say something like this is the very definition of a sheep. You’ll lap up whatever manna Trump spews your way.
I looked up a list of Vietnam war dead by state , and didn't find Lipford's name. I did find my 5 friends names though. One died in 1967, one in 68, one in 69, and two in 1970. They were all just kids then.As someone near the President's age who lived through the Vietnam era, I knew 1 "sucker" in my dorm, (Reese Hall) out of all the many, many people that I knew at U.T., who wanted to go to Vietnam. The other 99 of us thought he was nuts. He was in ROTC as a gung ho Army Ranger by the name of Pat Lipford. For all that I know, he may be a decorated veteran, or may have had his cold, lifeless body shipped back home to his momma, like 5 of my high school friends (Butch Mason, Harold Stills, Rae Rippetoe, Steve Torbett, and Donnie Swatzell).
Everybody else pulled every string available to get out of going. There were lawyers on Gay Street who specialized in delaying induction notices, and doctors who write you up as physically unfit. If you weren't alive then, your opinion means sh!t to me.
You said “she did confirm” and “she also confirmed”. You didn’t say confirmed that Trump allegedly wondered aloud and allegedly called Vietnam veterans suckers.
She wasn’t there. All she did was get someone to say they agree with what was being reported as long as they didn’t have to go on the record.
Notice the casual sexism here. The assumed male control over spending of marital assets. The assumption that men get to control their wives. That women don't know how to spend money.
Just what independent, educated working women love to see in a man.
Well, we know that Trump's enemies would never make up stuff to try to take him down.
