American war dead are "Losers and Suckers," per Trump

Sounds like what some governors did with a certain drug that Trump said something positive about for covid treatment.

You're absolutely right, those governors that stuck their noses into the hydroxychloroquine fray were idiots. Unless those guys were MD's and in consultation with patients, they had no right to insert themselves into the decision.

I believe this story is going to be with us for a while. I suspect a name or names will come out before (probably just before) the election and the story will have to be confirmed or denied. Stay tuned.
So why did this take 2 years to come out and not a word about this before now? Hmmm. I remember this trip to France and I recall the particular trip being canceled due to weather. Apparently you liberals that hate the police and military remember it differently. Traitors.

It was a thing back when it happened, i recall it. It was probably overshadowed by one of his tweets blowing up the 24 hr news cycle. There's only so much chaos you can absorb from the ticker at the bottom of the news screen.

I remember it in part because a bunch of other world leaders went, despite the weather.

Of course it will. It doesn't have to be true. It just needs to be a story until Nov.

It won't be the only one.

All kinds to truths come out days, months and years later. And you're telling me the Marines can't fly a chopper in the rain? I don't hate the police or military, I'm proud of and respect both. I'm also proud I was able to serve my country and I would do it again. You morons can just keep repeating that mantra if you want. You're not gaining any traction with it.

It's different when they are protecting the president of the US vs France. Trump took a lot of crap, but he doesn't seem to be the type of guy that cowers down from anything. This crap about him calling the guys that landed in France losers just seems absurd to me. Granted, he didn't like the Romney role model McCain and threw darts and arrows at him.

Like I said, the fact people think he is capable of it is half the story.

His silence shouldn't equal, "well, it has to be true then".
I agree. I would just like to read a denial from him. Not being a political hack, but instead a successful career serviceman, who really doesn't care for Donald Trump anyway... places John Kelly in a unique position to completely kill this story with a short and simple statement such as:

"I didn't hear President Trump say these things, and nobody has ever made me aware of such statements until now." - General John Kelly, former White House Chief of Staff

Kelly has credibility in NOT being an apologist for Donald Trump. A denial from Kelly would be convincing. A denial from Sarah Huckabee Sanders and Dan Scavino doesn't mean $hit.

He's a proven draft dodger for crying out loud. He's a coward's coward.

Eh.
If the POTUS made the comment “Why should I go to that cemetery? It’s filled with losers,” Im gonna guess the MSM isn't covering that up with any other tweet or comment he has ever made in the history of ever. It could have come a category 10 hurricane and an F-12 tornado all at once and that wouldn't have been the story. Much less the headline.

Disgusting

Does it get any lower than that?

Hmmm, let's see here... During the 2004 presidential election campaign, the Republicans ran a well funded campaign against John Kerry known as "The Swift Boat Veterans for the Truth". The purpose of these ads was to discredit the decorated military service of a Vietnam War veteran... in part, because George W. Bush had avoided service in Vietnam through securing placement in the National Guard with help from his father, a United States Senator at the time.

Those ads were later revealed to have included firsthand testimony of alleged witnesses who were giving accounts to events in which they were not present. If this story about Trump is untruthful, then it amounts to a political smear campaign... just like those "Swift Boat" ads in 2004 were. Sure, it's disgusting but both sides do this.

Marines can't fly a chopper in the rain if the ceiling is below standards. Especially with POTUS as passenger.

If I'm right and John Kelly is a source, then it's not going to go away. Kelly is the man to watch here. Does he deny this... or not?

And Mattis and Kelly would have resigned immediately.

You haven't been right about much, just slightly better of a record than LG so...

Fair enough.
He may or may not comment on it.

If I had heard that comment not only would it have gone public, I would have dared him to say it again and tried to keep his teeth. There's no honor in leaving it up to someone believing an unnamed source. What's the point of even bringing it up.

We will see. I will gladly admit that I was wrong on this one, if you can post a statement of denial from just one man... Trump's Chief of Staff at the time - General John Kelly.

DEMOCRATS ran a scam??

ON THE MILITARY????

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are you on crack? Trump has run a scam on everyone, and definitely the military.
Trump is demonstrably the most pro-military President we’ve had in decades. Hasn’t wrapped us in more foreign conflicts. In fact it’s the opposite. De-escalation with N Korea, and brokering peace deals in the ME and Balkans. If Dems actually had any principles they’d praise him for it. Instead they try to scam people with fake news in coordinated political hack jobs. Disgusting
