Surprised Del Rio transferred, it sounds like he lost the job and this kid just looked ok.
I think Del Rio is way overrated. Ive seen him play a few times and he just looks like he doesn't have it. He has all the physical tools, but he just doesn't perform in games. He is completely surrounded by stars this year so we'll see how he does. I agree that the new QB just looked ok. He has been hyped up by so many people I thought he was going to come out and throw for a ton of yards.

Great job by N Gwinnett last night though. They will definitely be in the mix at the end again. We play Wheeler tonight, it was a replacement game scheduled 3 days ago. We were originally supposed to play Colquitt, but they cancelled.

My wife's grandmother just got diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Still waiting on biopsy results for more information and plan development. I'm going to try to get her to Jacksonville for the Mayo clinic so we can help. Her grandfather also has dementia and is near requiring an assisted living facility. I'm praying for all of you. Hearts are heavy in 2020
Praying for your family, buddy. The Mayo Clinic in Jax is awesome.

With Newman out we are lucky to play Georgia early. Hopefully JT Daniels won't be 100% and we can catch some more lucky breaks.
i don't think there's any chance he's really 100%, no matter the dr. report. he's not taken reps, he'll be on a shorter schedule than most in terms of reps even if he does get cleared, and they're not going to risk him reinjuring anything in practice, so he'll probably be limited to some degree regardless.

plus you still have all the "new" with Georgia. New OC, New QB coach..new OL....new QB.

i mean, talent isn't the issue down there, we all know that, but it's really hard to roll in to a season wiht all that new on one side of the ball and instantly be uber successful, especially when the bar that's set is you're supposed to be an automatic bid to the SEC title game, at minimum.

and he did have a great point about that schedule. we'd all be shakin' in our boots if we played Auburn, GA, Bama 3 straight weeks.....lol.

IF UGA rolls out of the 1st month of the season 3-1 or better, then you'd have to start looking at giving that staff a ton of credit.

and i'm just not, and haven't been, that confident in the sidelines down there. what they've been able to do the past 3-4 years has been a direct resulut of talent accumulation and the rest of hte east being god awful.

they still have talent, but the east is getting better at the top. and now you throw in Bama as a W opponent....the best thing UGA has going for them right now is that the defense should be really, really good, and they are never short on good RB's. if you can run the ball, and play defense, you'll be a tough out in the SEC.

he's right tho...i don't think you can just pencil them in at ATL this year.

I’m my opinion Georgia’s LB’s and DL are the only strong point they have this year everything else is suspect...I expect low scoring games for them that will keep other teams in it to have a chance of winning. The back field is young, they’re replacing a lot over there in that area and with a new offense and no “Legit” QB’S to play.Kirby is in big trouble

i think the WR's have a chance to be good, but that'll depend on how the rest of the offense does.....the big key is if they can run the ball or not. if htey can, that makes everything else easier. if they can't.....things get real interesting real fast.

defensively, i agree about their front 7, definitely strength of the team imo. and that should make the secondar look pretty good along the way....

but dont' get it twisted...i'm not saing UGA is gonna suck.

i'm just saying i think there is an open door for someone else in the East.

Guys I'm absolutely heartbroken. My dad passed away from surgical complications early Wed. morning at Vanderbilt hospital. He had a heart transplant 17 years ago and had just received his second on Tuesday. The surgery went well but his valves were too fragile for the heart to properly connect to and they weren't able to get his bleeding under control.

I've never really shared much about my personal life on here but my dad was a huge reason why I'm a Vols fan. Our shared passion for the team was an amazing way for us to bond. We would constantly text each other about commitments and would always talk on the phone after games...if the Vols won. If they lost, we both needed a day or two to cool off before mentioning it, haha.

My wife and I are expecting our first child in 6 weeks. It would have been his first grandchild. He was so excited to meet him/her (we don't know the gender yet), and now he won't be able to. My brother said that he will be our child's guardian angel.

I've read so many posts about people losing loved ones in these threads over the years and they've always touched me. Because I've always known my dad's life expectancy was going to be cut short due to his health problems and transplant. He got a second chance at life in 2003 but he paid dearly for it. He had so many procedures and operations to keep him going afterward and he took an entire pharmacy's worth of pills 100 times over. But he never complained and just kept going. Unfortunately, he ran out of gas at a time when I needed him the most, but my family believes that he was simply too tired for another fight and that he was at peace knowing his family was in a good spot.

My wife sent this pic to me last night of the three of us at the TaxSlayer Bowl in Jan. 2015. We attended many games together over the years and it was an annual tradition to meet up for at least one. I'm going to miss the hell out of him and I will never be able to watch a Vols game without him thinking of him and wanting to call him afterward to get his thoughts. Hug your loved ones, guys.

i'll say one more thing on them and be done...i think most UGA fans, though none would really argue their schedule difficulty, most would probably tell you the two games they likely feel would be the biggest threat to them, based on talent levels etc...wouuld be Bama and UF. i would wager that most UGA fans believe they have a signficant enough talent advantage they can/should beat pretty much everyone else on the schedule....Auburn being the only other team that they might say had comparable talent, based on the past few recruiting cycles and how the games the last 3-4 years have played out.

so 1 toss up (bama), 1 probable (Florida) and 1 if they catch us on a bad day (Auburn).

everyone else..."W".

point being, expectations haven't changed, nor should they. they've recruited top 3ish long enough now that it should be a reload situation.

and if it's not.......................................LOL. let's just say "epic failure by this staff"..... :)

Prayers to you and your family. I lost my grandfather in 2008 to complications from heart surgery.
