The Republican Convention Thread

That’s a lie. He was talking about the other people that didn’t want the statue torn down - not the Neo-Nazis.

oh FFS.

Read the transcript. He was either talking about he neo nazis or the pro confederate Robert E. Lee people there. In either case, he said racists were "fine people".

Was doing my run and didn't see it. Did he wear the swastika arm patch or something?

I didn't watch it either but was hoping you would provide the details. I despise watching the DNC & RNC. Here lately NAT GEO on Disney plus has sparked my interest.

Yet again, ONE MORE TIME:

Reporter: (Inaudible) "… both sides, sir. You said there was hatred, there was violence on both sides. Are the --"

Trump: "Yes, I think there’s blame on both sides. If you look at both sides -- I think there’s blame on both sides. And I have no doubt about it, and you don’t have any doubt about it either. And if you reported it accurately, you would say."

Reporter: "The neo-Nazis started this. They showed up in Charlottesville to protest --"

Trump: "Excuse me, excuse me. They didn’t put themselves -- and you had some very bad people in that group, but you also had people that were very fine people, on both sides. You had people in that group. Excuse me, excuse me. I saw the same pictures as you did. You had people in that group that were there to protest the taking down of, to them, a very, very important statue and the renaming of a park from Robert E. Lee to another name."

So riddle me this, Trump Defender: Was Trump saying that some of the neo-Nazis were very fine people or the group of people defending the Statue of the Confederate (and treasonous racist) Robert E. Lee?

Obviously, in either case, Trump said that these racists were very fine people.

Hes talking about people that showed up to protest the removal that werent supremacist or neo nazis. He clarified this. You're choosing to ignore it. Why? idk. People who want a statue to remain arent automatically racist and to suggest they are is an indictment on your ability or should I say inability to think critically. To many people the war wasnt about what you claim it to be about. To many people their ancestors died fighting for what they believed in and no that isnt automatically racism.

You left the clarification out of your post. Typical. Thankfully my post has it for others review.

Yeah, Trump is so racist that you have to resort to twisting the truth to convince yourself.

How do you teach your kids basic math? I had a coworker that worked with his kids over the summer a few years ago and taught them multiplication tables. The next fall the teacher read him the riot act and told him that they don't teach multiplication tables anymore, they do common core math. To this day I can do in my head what 8X4 or 9x8 is in a second. Now kids have to work out some stupid time line and approximate. WTF?
They purposely made it more difficult. That's why millennial can't count back change correctly without a computation device.

Watch the video FFS.

Did you miss where he asks the press about George Washington and a Thomas Jefferson owning slaves? Asking if removing statues of Washington and Jefferson was next.

Put his comments into context. He is talking about the people protesting removing the Lee statue because they did not want a piece of history destroyed.

Destroying history isn’t progress. It’s weak-minded virtue signaling.

I don't know about you, but I have views I feel so strongly about that I go out to march for them in rallies organized by racists and neonazis marching for the same position. It just happens that my view overlaps with theirs. But I'm not racist.

Democrats have alot of early similarities to the nazi party of Germany. Does that make them nazis?
