Charles McRae and Cosey Coleman each were recruited as DLs, McRae actually started at NT as a freshman for a really bad defensive line (1988). Next year Johnny brings in Larry Lacewell to be the DC and they bring in a boatload of Juco DLs including (I think) Chris Mims and Todd Kelly, Sr. So hope this young man has the same level transition.
I think Fred Weary also was recruited as a DL.

So you should get fired for saying what he said?
Average Joe... Probably not gonna move the meter.

Announcer on TV saying it in front of God and everyone.. It's gonna get a reaction. Fox just has to decide if they're willing to die on that hill to keep him.

I'm betting they won't... Cut bait and quell the rage sure to follow.

If you’re ever bored enough to do a Georgia map 😉😉. Don’t think we are doing as well here. What do you expect with a bunch of dawgs

I don't really do any work for TN. The TDPH and the University of Tennessee do all the work. I just share what they do by bringing their direct output here. As far as Georgia goes I haven't been able to find any good models or maps similar to the reporting in TN. I'm attaching a link that seems to have good information. The last time you or someone else asked me about doing some work on this, after I got control over my fit of uncontrollable laughing, I did check into it. The transmission rate at the time was reported by AJC as 0.97 for the state but I never found anything that would give me the county level data that I felt like I could trust or make a lot of sense out of without having to do a lot more work than I'm interested in doing. jmo.

The transmission rate for Georgia is reported at 0.92 for today but here's the thing, TN which is at 0.99 has a little over 37k known active cases, Georgia has almost 198k known active cases, so even though the transmission rate is less it's spreading from a tremendously larger base. As long as the transmission rate, if it is accurate, stays below 1.00, the number of active cases should be declining.

Check this site tomorrow and see if the number of Active cases goes down. Today's number is 197,679.

United States Coronavirus: 5,700,931 Cases and 176,337 Deaths - Worldometer

Anyway, here's a link that might give you a broader view of the situation in Georgia as it is right now. I think they're calling the transmission rate the infection rate and it does have some county level data, though not for all counties. Unfortunately I'm much too spoiled by the excellent reporting work being done by the TDPH and UTk to ever have much interest in sorting out the mess going on down there in Georgia. Sorry.

Yeah, I don’t think people should be automatically fired for saying awful things — there should always be room for contrition, atonement, learning, growing, whatever — but he makes it really hard for his employers to keep him.

He just inadvertently but very clearly declared his disdain for a chunk of the audience and/or their loved ones. And for a bunch more of the audience, he just simply showed his ass for what it is and gave them a negative association that will linger.

If he’s a beloved figure he could probably ride it out. But if not, the network would probably see a benefit in separating themselves from the bad mojo. And I don’t know that he’s in the beloved category.

I think we're saying basically the same thing..

And I'm not saying he should or shouldn't be fired. I just won't be surprised if he is. Id be more surprised if he weren't... Lol

lol we are saying the same thing. I meant it in a sense of agreement, I just buried it in my usual over-expounding thing.
