I'm willing to take the risk I love the VOLS too damn much. I'll avoid the my grandparents for safety and that will be that
I'm beginning to think there will be more than 25% capacity. If you sit next to a stranger, you should were a mask during the game. If you sit in the middle of your party, you are fine. That's what I'm reading into it. Just when seated. At other times, mask up. I really think that's not too much to ask.

Well stated.

I'm not infected so me wearing a mask does not protect anyone else from anything. If you are infected, be a good human and stay away from people. That way the rest of us can go about our lives as normal. It's really pretty simple. Many don't grasp the concept however.

Yeah but the concept you haven't grasped is that you can be infected and have no symptoms and give the virus to other people long before you show any symptoms yourself (assuming you do show symptoms) and most places will refuse to even test you for COVID unless you are showing the symptoms of COVID.

So you claim to be "not infected" when in fact you cannot truthfully make that claim unless you are being tested daily like professional athletes.

I'm pretty certain that I'm not contagious. I work from home and have had little or no outside contact with people. But even if we all get it i'm 99.6% certain that everything will be okay. Keep spreading the fear though.

You don't have to wear a mask when you eat or drink so this is just a conspiracy to get the fans at the game to keep stuffing our fat faces with food driving up concession sales! dum dum dummm.

LOL well its easy to be "not scared" if you never go anywhere. But in reality you go all over the place. All these people "working from home" who are actually all hanging out down at Home Depot.

The dilemma is that people don't know that they're infected.

Sheep like mwavolfan where their masks while driving.

Based on his logic, he should wear his mask for flu season every year. Ill wear a mask if i have to but minimally. I'll wearcthe mask going in the stadium but will be off quickly.

Your argument is toxic and quite frankly, terrible. Yeah, we know most people won't die but why is it such a bad thing people want to take precautions? Go ahead and tell those that have lost loved ones to COVID-19 or any infectious disease that people are sheep for trying to protect themselves and people they care about. While we're at it, we can just stop wearing condoms because chances are you won't get HIV, right? Stop wearing shirts and shoes to a clothing store since we're taking your freedom away.

Why not wear a mask in flu season? What's wrong with that? In some Asian cultures, if someone thinks they potentially have a common cold or cough, they'll wear a mask to be courteous to people around them. You don't care if you get sick? Cool. But don't get others sick because of your negligence. And EVEN IF this is some sort of elaborate conspiracy to control the population or whatever...why is it a big deal to put on a damn piece of clothing? If they force a vaccine that's different but it's literally a piece of cloth over your face. Quit being a p****

There is a difference between believing and willing to take and accept risk and not believing.

I believe. I’m just not concerned enough that I would avoid the risk. So, if I am somewhere and people are wearing masks, cool. If I am somewhere and people are not wearing masks, I’m cool with that too.

Sometimes you make way to much sense to be a fl fan...

The flu doesn't have the long/asymptomatic transmission period that covid-19 has, and also is not as contagious as covid-19. I think we can all put on our big boy pants and wear a mask to a football game during a once in a century pandemic eh?

Important question how are going to make noise for the boys with our mask on. I guess I'm gonna have to cheat and bring cowbells like MSU does

Some of us, believe it or not, have made a conscious choice to not live in China. Asian visitors to NYC have been free to wear masks out-and-about for years, but that doesn't mean everyone else should be required to kowtow to their preferences.

Since crowd size is determined by each individual school, I'm glad we don't play in Tuscaloosa this year. The Gumps will probably pack the stadium every home game.

I have a 95 year old uncle, 89 year old aunt, 70 year old cousin, and her 30 year old daughter who ALL tested positive for the virus. Not one of them every had any symptoms at all. While I take precautions because I see my 91 year old mother weekly and don't want to take a chance giving her something, I still think this whole thing has gotten completely out of control. CLEARLY there's one group of people nationally who want this thing to collapse our nation (if you're not aware of this PLEASE do some serious research before forming an opinion and no I'm not going to try and convince you otherwise). I think CLEARLY the numbers are completely wrong and the information passed out daily is mostly in error. Having said that IF I go to a game this fall I'll probably wear a mask. That ought to be fun on a hot fall day with temps around 90 degrees :oops:

Who said anything about China? You have every freedom to not wear a mask unless mandated by establishments. That's not the point I'm making. The point I'm making is wearing a mask when you don't necessarily have to is being courteous to others whether you necessarily believe in the risk or not. Attacking someone for wearing one is downright idiotic (not saying you are but those that do).

I know my family will probably be okay if they get the virus but I will wear a mask around them until they tell me it's okay not to or they accept the risk.

I've slept since then....seems to me that I read an announcement from UT saying "no tailgating on campus this year." Again, not sure where I got that from or why that's in my memory.

Who tailgates on campus besides the big donors? Tons of other lots to tailgate in!

There is definitely a risk with age groups as with any virus or sickness. Heck you could make the arguement that just walking is a health risk to thr elderly. Nothing wrong with taking precautions around elderly.

What is most funny is your smugness about what December will look like when it is many months away. None of us HAVE...ANY..IDEA.
DO.... WE... NOT? I think many do - and are watching closely to see what happens in November. Golly this is exciting.
