2020 Presidential Race

Outed myself how?

The ends does not justify the means, how would you feel if Trump declared martial law and declared everyone must stay in their house for 2 months but it ended covid?
Bare minimum as a right wing shill.

If he did that COVID would've been over in May instead of an ongoing issue. So I'd hypothetically feel great lol.

Well hell, Trump still lied and it wasn't a possibility to do contact tracing.

If people voluntarily cooperate you can do contact tracing. Are you suggesting that Trump should have used the might of the federal government to compel cooperation?

No I'm suggesting he shouldn't have lied about "anyone who needs a test can get a test" when all we had were several thousand tests, and apparently they didn't work.

Rather than dancing around this... Did Trump lie about the availability of tests, or not?

Sure he lied about the tests. How has that prolonged the pandemic?

Interesting comment from a guy who hates the emancipator and Nazi defeator.

Again the ends doesn't always justify the means. I wonder how all those people that suffered for decades in eastern Europe under soviet oppression feel about FDR? Or the Japanese Americans who were sent to internment camps without due process?

He never said he hated either. FDR and Lincoln both did sh1tty things as President. If Washington, Jefferson, and Adams can have slavery held over their heads as their contributions to the republic are diminished, the the bad things FDR and Lincoln did can be held against them as well.

Because he peddled a falsehood rather than using his "legal authority" to put us in a position to contain the virus.

I suppose I can predict where your argument will go from here.. something along the lines of, "tests wouldn't have helped then, and they don't help now." Am I close?

No you're not close. Within 30 days of the virus taking hold in this country we had testing ramped up.

I wonder how the millions who lived free instead of under German occupation feel.
I wonder how the millions who were employed through his programs and able to feed their families feel.
You take the narrowest view. It's like saying General Neyland was a horrible coach and following up with:
Talk to the players who were kicked off of the team.
Talk to the assistant coaches who were fired.
Look at all the games he lost that he could have won.
Check with the players who got no playing time but were better than the ones actually playing.

We test more people than anyone in the entire world......the first tests off the assembly line were faulty to a degree which they worked to correct..... I don’t feel we have done a bad job with testing at all unless you have unrealistic expectations.

So you think we should've continued WW2 and invaded the Soviet Union? No one's saying FDR was perfect and the internment camps is a prime example of him being far from it. But the fact is he saved this country from 2 of the biggest crises of the 20th century. I'm not saying you have to love him, but to spew filth about he and Lincoln being the worst is grossly misguided.

People are calling out Adams for slavery? That seems misguided

Millions more people lived under communist oppression than lived free due to FDRs agreements with Stalin and refusal to deal with Mao.
An abuse of power is an abuse of power, regardless of the outcome. If Trumps EO ends up feeding families will you give him the same credit?

a guy who prolonged the damn and rounded up Americans to put them in camps? Who else had camps in ww2...
The internment camps were wrong, no question about it. Let's not act like they were the same as the Nazi concentration camps though.

When Trump claimed we had all we needed, when we didn't. There was no way of doing a "good job".

Now tests are often 50% accurate, even if we were attempting to use them effectively.

The "King of Debt" really, really, REALLY wants to bankrupt our country.

King Donald ALREADY blew up our budget to the tune of a $1 Trillion buck deficit in 2019.

Add to the pandemic which has cost us roughly $4 or $5 Trillion dollars in new national debt.

And Donald actually has the gall to propose both a capital gains tax cut AND a middle income tax cut right before the election?!? This is the exact opposite of any common-sense, logic-based, fiscally conservative action that should be taken to REDUCE our spending.

HE'S GOING TO BANKRUPT OUR COUNTRY. IT'S WHAT DONALD TRUMP DOES.

“We are looking very seriously at a capital gains tax cut, and also an income tax cut for middle income families,” Trump said at Monday’s news conference, as he said that the tax cut for capital gains would “create a lot more jobs.”

“We are looking at expanding the cuts that we have already done, but specifically for middle -income families, and you will be hearing about that in the upcoming few weeks,” the president added.

FDR should have never agreed to the partition of Europe. He should have demanded Stalin withdraw from eastern Europe or at the very least stop at the German Polish border. Germany would have surrendered without the Soviets destruction on Berlin.
