Face it. Would minor league football (without the college affiliations) be as popular and rich as NCAA football?

I say their gripe is misplaced. I don't think they should be going after the colleges for money. They're getting a free education on two fronts:

  1. A free education:
    1. This generation can't on one hand say that that benefit is of little worth while also claiming we need to pay off their student loans because the debt load is unbearable. make up your minds.
  2. Free coaching to get them to the next level of the NFL.
If they want to rail against something, rail against the policy that the NFL won't accept anyone that hasn't already graduated. I don't think even that would go anywhere, but that policy effectively turns the NCAA into the NFL pipeline and forces players to play in college for their payday. But that isn't the same as saying that the players "deserve"m more for their play in college.
Don’t forget that these “student athletes” have an advantage that a lot of other students don’t have when they graduate. They always have hookups from people within the program from boosters and others to get jobs most of us would have had to go through the hiring process for. They get moved to the head of the line.

If they want to be paid give up the scholarship get a job and pay your way.

Tuition
Books
Housing
Meal plans
Etc

and ohh yea make it to class everyday and practice too while keeping that job you wanted.

Most I doubt would make it a month.

Indeed. Let's learn the real meaning of a job.

Right. Minor league football players should try and survive in a minor league baseball or g league basketball environment for awhile and see how that compares with the amenities they have at a P5 school. This is the wrong time for a list of demands from college football players.

This is why I quit caring about watching Sunday games. I have always thought Saturday's were the purest form of seeing some one give there all.
I agree. Has nothing to do with political stuff for me, I just rarely see the passion for the game in the NFL like college.

Read up on T Cell immunity.
I have. There is still much to be learned about how T cell react to this virus and if T cell memory will provide immunity. There I’d evidence that T cell memory works with the common cold corona viruses or if it does, what the half-live of that memory. That is why more data are needed before one will know the duration of protection. That was one of the problems in developing a vaccine against AIDs. AIDS has been around for about 40 years and we still don’t has a vaccine.

Really good post. Just like all the demands of the vocal few in life.Who really cares what they want or are upset about. Put God first in your life followed by family and work and I promise you your life will wind up being pretty darn good.
Priorities make life so much easier. Thanks for reminding me, my friend.

I just about quit watching , fantasy football is the only reason I keep some interest.

I'm a Steeler fan, but I'd say its been about 3 years since I've watched a complete game
Fantasy football and gambling should be the only reasons you watch pro football. Those are good enough for me to care about them playing. That was why I was so pizzed Kap didn't get a shot... I cold have used him on my bench as a bye week QB.

I love them both, plus the NFL is the best of the best. Most of the professionals give "their all". That's why you see lots of 4th qtr comebacks or a team like the Patriots rallying from a deficit of 28-3 to win the Super Bowl

We’re all to blame for these player groups and their demands. We’ve created a bunch of 18 year old spoiled narcissists who’ve been given everything and still want more. Why is anyone surprised when grown adults hang on every tweet these 5 star athletes send out when they’re 16 and 17 years old? Coaches, parents, and their communities treat them like they’re infallible and the source of everyone’s happiness in the Fall. Programs roll out the red carpet just to have them visit their campus, parents spare no expense for personal trainers, camps, and equipment, and it goes on and on. Just watch the way these egomaniacs make their college decision with the hats on the table, pulling off jerseys, and other stupid stunts. Who is to blame? All of us
Are you blaming the kids? Your post seems to have that tone.

Still much to learn, but there is evidence it fights off this coronavirus.

Much of the research points to the group immunity being around 20 percent. Up to 80 percent of the people could have t cell immunity. This can depend on a groups geographic location, but in its entirety,,, the studies point towards a brighter future and really contradict the fear latent narratives out there.

Just look at every place that has been hit hard. Italy, NY, Spain, and Sweden (id argue they didn't really get hit that hard)

Big numbers in the beginning and they have tapered off tremendously. Seems as if the virus has run its course and unfortunately taken many of the vulnerable with it. We are also protecting the elderly and vulnerable way better in general, that's why the death rates haven't skyrocketed. It's passing to the people who brush it off and less and less vulnerable folks are getting it. Florida, Zona, and Texas have all hit their peak. Hospitalizations are down to mid-June levels in Florida. Sweden is having basically zero deaths a day now.

Immunity appears to be happening. Memory T cells last on average six months. Naive T cells up to nine years. The treatments are also getting better and better. We also know who is most effected by it. Therefore, even if the vaccine has an efficacy rate of 50 percent it will still probably work well enough for us to completely rid ourselves of the fear from it.
