Delicate and sweet especially if they are fresh. Saute with butter, garlic, and lemon

Sea scallops are what we're talking about here and they're sweet and a little fishy but not a strong flavor. It's a soft fleshy type texture. You probably wouldn't like them for that reason.

Bay scallops are the same but much smaller and sweeter.

Tasted just like the lobster at Red lobster in oak ridge. Same texture and all. My wife and I didn't like either one. I don't know if they weren't cooked right or not seeing it was both of our first time trying either.

Scallops cooked properly will not have the same texture as shrimp. All seafood overcooked has the same texture.

Do not overcook them. Pan seared in butter with the garlic would be the best I think. Not something I've ever cooked I just know they go south quick if overcooked. I love to eat them when they are well prepared though.
