I've gone back and forth on it. There were 6 eligible East teams to get screwed over and 2 have to get screwed. A 1 in 3 chance isn't crazy unlucky, but that said, I feel like us playing Bama should get us out of it.

Whatever. If it buys us leverage down the road, so be it. This year is a big asterik anyway and half of it won't happen. Phil gonna remind everyone of this in a couple years when it actually matters...

Bama would love for us to play LSU because it screws both us and LSU. We're not good enough to be a favorite against anyone but we are good enough to pull off upsets and/or bloody someone's nose. If we can be used against TAMU too even better for them. Tennessee this year is going to be very similar to our 2015 team in that no one is going to want to face them even though we likely won't be favorites or even ranked. Our defense is going to hurt some people and even with JG under center there's a threat of the offense actually firing against good competition.

With BAMA on the schedule already if we get that draw it's not bad luck, too bad, it's intentional and it needs to be called out. Everyone else has weaker draws whereas we get a yearly penalty by playing BAMA. And while I'm at it, cross-division games should have no bearing on division standings and that should've been fixed aeons ago but that should be especially true in a year where schedules are being forced together.

Correct. Those 3 schools in particular (maybe add LSU) are the SEC darlings and will be given every advantage over the rest of the SEC. It's completely unfair.

LSU, Texas AM, Bama, Florida, Georgia are all national championship contenders this year and we are going to have to play all of them in a short year with no OOC cupcakes.

Good. Then when we whip they arses, they can’t hide.
Eff them all.

The adjusted positivity rate today was 9.9% (Note: adjusted means that the total number of positive tests does not equate to the total number of new cases. Some of those tests are presumably followup tests so those are removed from the calculation of the positivity rate).

The reported transmission rate has continued to fall.

Well yea! A dang good business model IYAM. Lol. But everything else you opined is not entirely accurate is all I’m saying. I’ve had clients for over a decade on both sides of the equation. And I’m telling you, adjusters, by and large, want to pay what their company owes for. It’s a whole lot easier for them to stroke a check than carry out multiple layers of due diligence to prove they were right denying a claim.

Well then, we got different experiences😀 Maybe the amount of check written is up for debate.

It’s a necessary expense. Just not a huge fan. Personally, I’ve had a good experience, but USAA is a different animal.

Can you explain the adjusted positive rate?

Can you explain the adjusted positive rate?

Number of positive tests today was 2,539.
Number of new cases today was 2,252.
Difference of 287, perhaps suggesting those 287 tests were 2nd tests on persons who had already been identified as an active case.

Adjusted positivity rate (my own device) = Number of new cases/Number of Initial Tests.

Today the number of total tests were reported at 23,038.
I subtract the 287 from 23,028 and use 22,751 for my initial tests number (which may not be exactly right but at least I eliminate the non new case positives).

So 2,252/22,751 = 9.9% adjusted positivity rate. TIFWIW.

Note: The total number of positive test results in TN to date is at 137,277 and the total number of cases to date is 116,350, suggesting to me that (the difference) 20,927 of the total positive tests to date were not associated with the identification of new cases. jmo.

I was just trying to get an apples to apples number.

Sad again that @Atlanta VOL basically said Bailey is overhyped. I wanted him to be the next great. We desperately need to hit on one of those generational QBs like every other school seems to.
He said Chaney was a no go as a hire...when it was already done. It’s called an opinion and he’s more than capable of spouting the wrong variety.

I scheduled mine at 11am because I knew 3 old professors would be ready for lunch at noon. And sure enough, the guy that was grilling me so hard looks up at the clock at 11:55 and says ok, let's wrap this up.

Always know those that are against you as well as Catbone knows his hand...or something like that 🤔
