No charts or graphs but I've previously noted that LSU lost Brady, Aranda, and Burrows and Pelini is switching their defense from a 3-4 to a 4-3 this year. So not only are they going with essentially new play-callers on both sides of the ball, they don't have a proven QB, they have to learn a new defense, AND their returning production ranks #127 in the nation this year. I like our chances. jmo.
Maybe so, but I’m mad at the thought of putting us against Bama, the defending national champions and a strong A&M on principle

All me crazy but I’d prefer LSU out of the other obvious draws in the west. Theyve recruited well...yes. They also lost a ton including the #1 pick and a qb that had one of the greatest seasons in the history of the game. Qb position wins you a lot or loses you a lot in college football

So I've got a table of comparisons now. It might be interesting to note that Auburn doesn't have an offensive line this year, nothing, nada, sort of like when we played them in 2018 on the plains, only worse, many times worse. Neither Missouri nor Vandy have an offensive line either and LSU and Georgia barely have one.

I think A&M will be tough so if we play them it should be in Neyland but without all the fans I don't know how much that will help. Everybody agrees we have to improve significantly on offense to play with the elite teams in the conference.

From an experience stand point we have the #1 offensive line in the conference and since, as noted, our offense is our Achilles heel that's got to offer some cause for optimism. Our offensive line is also arguably the most talented in the conference this year.

I used multiple sources to construct this table. It's sorted on the 2020 recruiting class rankings and the boxes highlighted in pink are where teams rank below us.

Solve the questions with our qb, receivers, and tight ends and we should be able to compete favorably with anyone in the conference. jmo.

Genuinely thank everyone for all the well wishes and prayers. It’s greatly appreciated. So very thankful I survived with little more than some cuts and bruises. I finally got all the glass shards and dust picked out of my skin. I’m supposed to be taking muscle relaxers for my back pain but I’m too redneck to do anything but push through the pain. This Vol won’t die that easily! Not today, Satan! 😂
There will be more glass shards to find for months. Take the muscle relaxers, have a whiskey drink and enjoy yourself.

Sounds like we are getting 2 of 3 of LSU, Auburn, or Texas AM. We have Ark and Bama on schedule. Playing Ms St last year and Ole Miss next year doesnt help our cause. Fulmer and Chaney need to throw their heavy weight around to fix this screw job. Fulmer needs to reming Greg Sankey he knows where Bamas Bones are buried
That last sentence reminds me of that old joke that went around after Bear Bryant retired and died,
"What do maggots and Bama Fan's have in common ?"
"They both can live on a Bear for years."
It's still funny, imo

If anyone heard about the 30+ vehicle pile up on I-40W yesterday around Dandridge, I was involved. I walked away with minor cuts & bruises, plenty of glass in my face, hair, clothes, and skin. No major injuries outside of a strained lower back & mild whiplash. I was hit from behind (felt like by a train) and sent through the air like a torpedo and my roof landed against the guardrail. Then slid down on my driver’s side door only to be hit again in the undercarriage & frame. So thankful that the good Lord above was with me and that he has purpose for me. This is the second major car accident I’ve been involved in, except the last one (18 years ago) I was hit by a car while riding a dirt bike. Believe it or not, I sustained more injuries during that crash (broken leg and neck injuries). I’m hopeful that no one lost their life in the same accident but I definitely was told that someone lost both their legs. I’ll definitely be praying for everyone involved but I’m unbelievably thankful that I will live another day closer to see my child born.
So glad to hear you are alive. MANY people don’t survive those sort of accidents. Truly a blessing. The Lord definitely has more purpose for you. 🙏🏾

Watching the Sugar Bowl replay. Greg Amsler with the big boy hurdle. Fast forward to 5:45 in this video...

Didn't we have Amsler and Brunson at the same time one year? Or maybe I am thinking Roland Poles. With names like Mario Brunson and Roland Poles it sounds like you bout to get run over.
