2020 Presidential Race

News from Samsung interview debacle sends a warning for the fall campaign

"When Trump was fact-checked in real time, Trump's flame-throwing interview technique fizzled. When Swan frustrated his scattershot attempts to jump to another subject, Trump wilted. Under pressure, he provided the kind of offhand remark that could define a political race if properly used by an opponent.

"It is what it is," Trump said, appearing callous and disconnected about a Covid-19 death toll that has reached 150,000 Americans. When he was challenged, Trump responded with nonsensical answers, grasping for a counter to simple questions about his handling of the pandemic."

... but Biden should be scared of debating Trump, right? Yeah. Sure.

I'm sure Biden's team is taking notice.
Plus, hopefully any future debate moderators.

Biden's team has sequestered Joe when it became clear he could not handle tough questions.

One debate ,four moderators, two from Foxnews , and two from the rest of the mainstream media. Three hours long no holds barred. Push up contest with audience members to follow.

Donald Trump never comes across well when he isn't being interviewed by a friendly Fox News host. When Trump is interviewed by a legitimate journalist who will fact check him and call him out for blatant falsehoods, then also force him to stay on topic and ask probing follow up questions, then Trump will usually fall flat on his face - just as he did with Chris Wallace recently. Jonathan Swan did okay, but he should have pressed Trump more on his lie that the Russian bounty intel "never made it to my desk", and the bizarre claim that he "would have done something about it" if it had, but then didn't even bring up the subject on a phone call with Vladimir Putin? Trump never makes any sense whenever he is the subject of a legitimate interview, instead of just a hand-holding, slurpfest with Sean Hannity or one of his Fox & Friends morning show sycophants.

Have you noticed how many people who plan to vote for Trump will say things such as "they are equally bad" ... but I don't see any of Biden's voters saying that.
I have indeed.
It's very telling.
Pretty much every one of them knows that Trump is complete scum. The only possible justification for their support is to delude themselves into thinking that they are all "equally" bad.

I’m voting for trump bc I 100% believe he is the much better option.

that is scary that your world view is that skewed, that you think donald is the better option.

I know you are driving the car off the cliff, but I will stay in the car because you have the air conditioner on. If I get out, it's hot, and I will have to walk.

That's because Biden is saying nothing right now. He's in hiding. It's that how the potus should act? People are voting for teams just like we cheer for ut whether it's Peyton or JG under center

I do think that getting Biden on stage in 3 debates will change people's minds. In a functional govt neither would be a viable candidate

What do you think Biden will do better than trump?
Better decisions is the major thing. Do you honestly think we would be having this continued uncoordinated response to a national health crisis? Just imagine if this was an actual biological attack. If China released biological agents in our air or water, is this the response that gives you comfort at night?

Biden has said plenty.....should he call your phone and speak directly to you?

I am not a republican.... I strictly vote for who I think is the best candidate between the two main parties.... I don’t vote third party bc I don’t feel like they have a chance in hades..... what does a Joe Biden presidency off that is better than trump?

I'll let him talk to my 6yo. They're on about the same level

He has not been subjected to the scrutiny that should be given to a possible potus. He is not in front of the American people. He is not taking unscripted questions and giving interviews.

It’s really not that hard to understand.
My father is 82. He’s going through some serious dementia issues right now. In the last month it’s gotten so bad he’s being evaluated to see if he will be allowed to return home.
His behavior was “Bidenesk” 3-4 months ago.
Biden isn’t going to survive a presidency. Hell, he may not make it to the election. Trump is starting to do things my dad did 2 years ago. So neither guy is fit to be president.

It’s a giant **** show.

If that's what you believe, then that's certainly what you should do.
I'm voting against Trump because I believe him to be a horrendously despicable human and the worst president in history.

I think that the federal government should be an overseer and this should be handled at the state level with government assisting..... I think we could have done some things definitely better but it’s a pandemic.... I don’t feel anyone truly knows what the answer.... you can tell just on this board everyone’s opinions is different.... As for being attacked.... I have been pleased with the military decisions he has made that I have followed.
