Susan Rice: We Must Be ‘Re-Imagining the Role of the Police’ to End Ongoing Inequality, Oppression

When asked if she supported defunding the police. Rice said, “That’s not terminology that I would use. But what I would say is this. We have a long history of inequality, of oppression that endures in this country. And we need the police to be part of the solution. In some instances, they are, in other communities, they are not. There’s no one-size-fits-all approach. So I’m for re-imagining the role of the police, getting them out of things like social work.”

She continued, “I’m for responsible reallocation of resources where that makes sense to invest more in our communities and the health of our citizens. But it doesn’t fit a one-size-fits-all approach. You can’t just take money away uniformly and put it somewhere else or take it away altogether. I think we need to look at this community by community and be quite thoughtful about it.”

No I think someone at the RNC did some electoral research and want to use the same strategy that Republicans used in the Mississippi senate race in 1978.

I wonder how the GOP would feel if Dem operatives put some random dude named Ronald Reagan on the ballots?

But that goes against one of the top left wing talking points .
Good one. But if you actually read the article, even Fox can't put a great spin on the numbers:

Voting registration gap is closing in Florida, North Carolina and Pennsylvania, campaign says (still behind)

"Across the battlegrounds, the Biden-DNC [Democratic National Committee] coordinated campaign is crushing Republicans in key field metrics like vote-by-mail requests, registration and [primary] turnout -- and we're going to keep our foot on the gas so we ensure Trump is a one-term president," said David Bergstein, Democratic National Committee director of battleground state communications.

Former Vice President Joe Biden spent last weekend at his beach house in Rehoboth, Delaware, as he narrows the list of candidates he might select for vice president, according to NBC News.

The Bidens purchased the six-bedroom, three-story home in 2017, last sold in 2007 for over $3 million. The Bidens earned more than $15 million since leaving the White House, including more than four dozen paid speeches and a multi-million dollar book deal.

Cuomo beats back ‘surprise’ AOC challenge to lead NY delegation to DNC

Gov. Andrew Cuomo easily defeated Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Tuesday in a surprise challenge to determine who will head New York’s delegation to the Democratic National Convention.

Democratic Party chairman Jay Jacobs — a Cuomo ally — fumed that he was “blindsided” when a motion was made to nominate AOC to head the delegation during an online Democratic Committee meeting.

Still, Cuomo received 218 votes compared to the 34 votes gleaned by the first-term congresswoman, who represents portions of Queens and The Bronx, Jacobs said

“It was a bad performance. AOC got 13 percent of the vote. She did vote for herself,” Jacobs said following the meeting.
