Living and growing up in mid TN, we always had a cut cedar in the house for Christmas. Yeah, they can be a mess but the smell I remember was wonderful.
I used to always do that because of the smell, and the kids loved it. Now I have one that pops together easily and is prelit. I run out in the woods every week or two to get some greenery to decorate with (even stick some in tree) so I can still enjoy the smell.

Planted in late Febrero or early Abril.

We have red clay, murder on Frasers. I call on areas where they grow. Silty, sandy, rocky, rainy soil. Like a coffee filter with used grains.

Ive been successful in replicating the peat bog for Rhodo's, etc in my yard. Cryptomeria & Leyland do good.

Which is fine. We just string lights on the Crypto0

Just got 6 blueberry bushes with all 6 being rabbiteye: 2 pink lemonades, 2 premiers, and 2 brightwells. I have them potted right now, but will hopefully plant them next spring. Right now the issue is getting their soil to a low pH. Gonna need to go get some soil acidifier here soon to help with that.

As for trees, my favorites are by far the evergreens. First, spruces, and definitely cedar. I love their look and smell.

"Because NCAA sports exploit college athletes physically, economically and academically, and also disproportionately harm Black college athletes, #WeAreUnited."

Exploit them academically with that free education? Exploit them economically with that free room and board and personal/athletic development. And how in the hell are black athletes disproportionately harmed?
Victim mentality at its finest.

One thing is clear, these athletes have no comprehension of business. 50% of revenue lol...

Even if the kids get any of these demands, the schools won't be paying for it. They will still attempt to operate with profits. We will pay for their additional benefits. It's fans that drive the sport just as much if not more than the athletes. You will see an increase in TV subscription costs, merchandise costs, ticket costs, hot dogs, etc. Nothing in this world is free. It is paid for by someone. In this scenario, it is the fans that will pay for it. Increasing the costs for fans will only create less fans, and therefor increased costs again. It's a downward spiral from here.

The fact the kids don't appreciate the opportunity they are being given is insulting. Entitlement is a disease that needs eradicating.

Pine needles work after a while.

I've seen reports say they do and don't help. But I'm also looking for a quicker turnaround than what the needles would do. Some say that pouring coffee can help as it is acidic, but I will want to make sure to use decaf coffee as caffeine can be bad for plants.

Before you call me a bitch or try to look like a badass for drinking straight Everclear or jet fuel or whatever, hear me out. Set your masculinity aside and give the PBR hard coffee a try. It’s legit good and is as close to 4Lokos as it’s gonna get. Even if it gets warm, it’s still good. Couldn’t find any in Nashville so I went to Frugal Macdougall’s and bought their whole stock
I don’t know if I’d buy that much but I have had it and was impressed. Thought it would be awful and instead it tastes like coffee chocolate milk. Not bad.

The acidity one garners from such is marginal. Ive dug up entire areas by hand, and replaced with peat moss. Fert is good but can be overly dependent.

Started planting shallower and mounding around. Most pines etc, Leyland, have little if any root structure, compared to say, a Red Oak.

It's like a combination of entitlement and victim mentality. That is a scary thought.

Right.... you get to play a sport to pay for your college..... most kids don’t get that luxury. How about be grateful for that.

Just want to talk some football if that’s okay with y’all... Which post Fulmer/ pre Pruitt players would you like to see on this team. Let’s leave out the obvious ones with (maybe somewhat) successful NFL careers:
Derek Barnett, Alvin Kamara, CP, Malik Jackson, Mychal Rivera, Eric Berry, AJ Johnson, Pittman’s OLine, Jalen Hurd, etc
Then the guys we would take in a heartbeat that either aren’t well known in the NFL/ not playing but would make our team better:
1. Josh Dobbs
2. Cam Sutton
3. Justin Hunter
4. Luke Stocker
5. Curt Maggitt
6. Montario Hardesty
7. Janzen Jackson
8. JRM
9. Darick Rogers
10. Marquez North
11. Tyler Bray
12. Corey Vereen
Guys that might be on same level as current players but would still help:
1. Rod Wilks (who once visited the Virgin Islands. Now it’s just called “The Islands”)
2. Byron Moore
3. Jacob Carter
4. Danny OBrien
5. Kahlil

Might forget a lot but just going off the dome. Who y’all got?

I feel like the real Ron Swanson would say “there are two things I hate in this world: 1. Lying and 2. PBR Coffee... which is lying about being PBR or coffee”

I've looked at peat moss as well. The issue is that I just repotted these blueberry bushes a few weeks ago (when I didn't know about peat moss) so I don't want to shock them again. Right now the only thing I know of that would be good is soil acidifier. Looking at the stuff from Epsoma

Ahhh yes, be grateful that you will have long lasting health effects for the rest of your life, your degree is worth less than even 10 years ago (seriously a college degree is worth as much as a high school diploma now), you won't be allowed to work or have a job to pay for anything, your time isn't your own even during times other students who get paid to work have off, and let's forget about the fact that you may not even want that degree in the first place, but there's no tryouts for the NFL until you go to college.

Just let them pay taxes and make what they want. These people have been paying to play football practically their entire lives, paying specialized coaches, paying for camps, traveling on their own dime, transferring into the right high schools for just the chance at a scholarship. It's not like Joe Bob down the street just showed up for tryouts one day and Pruitt had an extra scholarship ready to hand out. 100 years ago 20 year olds were making 5000 a year and supporting their wife and kids. You didn't make that 20 year old get a "free" apprenticeship for the 4 best years of his life, you paid him for the work he did.

Until people are willing to pay the market rate for true American services like football tickets, wages will always stay down. I'll pay double for football tickets because it's worth it to me, and I'll ask my job to pay me what I'm worth or go somewhere else.

Jalen Hurd had a successful NFL career? What on the injured list?

Funny you say that considering I didn’t have to “Pay” to go to all those things and I ended up with Football and Baseball athletic scholarships to go to college.

You aren’t talking to someone who didn’t pay their dues. I did the time and I got a degree I figured would help me down the road. If a college player doesn’t get a degree that will help them in life that is kind of on them..... it’s free after all, all they have to do is the school work.

The 50% revenue split makes the whole thing a sham. That's not even close to doable unless tickets are $200 a piece. That would completely kill crowds at 95%+ of schools. Good luck.
And the fact only two sports make money. So are all the Olympic sports and women’s teams going to share in the losses? Reduced scholarship money and eating ramen while the football and men’s basketball players make bank? That’ll go over well with the equal rights thumpers. Oh wait that’s who’s thumping for this. Typical left-wing circle jerk.

Men's basketball rarely makes money
