Update to my post a few days ago. My daughter did the at home test (kit) and sent it off to the lab as required in order to return to campus in a couple of weeks. In less than 48 hours, she was notified she tested positive. She has been and still is completely asymptomatic. They had inadvertently sent her two test kits. I told her to do it again and send it in to see what happens. In just over 48 hours it came back.....negative. In the meantime, we took her to our doctor and performed the "standard" (?) test and now awaiting those results. We have clearly been exposed to her during this time, although once she got the positive test back she remained quarantined from us to the extent possible. The spousal unit and I are both asymptomatic and going to be tested tomorrow, just in case. The numbers on this whole situation, IMO, are just way off. I don't believe we have had near the number of infections posted to date due to testing variables and irregularities from various facilities/labs.

Nobody knows what will happen but a computer science professor from Illinois is running models and he is predicting a 30-50% infection rate and 3-7 deaths for the 13,000 FBS players.

You're really drinking the kool-aid. Fauci is considered one of the leading infectious disease experts in the world. He could have gone to any of the large pharmaceutical companies and made a fortune, but instead has spent his career in government service at a fraction of the salary dating back to his role in helping to solve the AIDS crisis.

I am sure you realize he is one of the most tested persons in the world, due to his frequently close proximity to the President, so if there was anyone who could remove his mask, outdoors, it would be him (noting that was a picture taken at a single moment in time when other pictures at the bar park showed him wearing a mask).

And can we please realize the basis for the use of masks, particularly the cloth ones. Only an N-95 mask offers the wearer real protection. You wear a cloth mask not to protect yourself from others, you wear it to protect others from you since you could always be someone who carries the virus but you're asymptomatic. It limits the "spray" from you to other 3rd parties.

What have you accomplished in your life, versus his achievements, that allows you declare him a joke?

I know what I read and where I get my information (Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, Politico, The Hill and Drudge every day), where do you get your info, other than Infowars and OAN?

Doesn't disprove a damn thing.

First. Sweden has double the amount of people those countries do.

Which means their population density is far greater. The greater Stockholm area is about 2.5 million. Double that of Denmark.

Makes more sense to compare them to countries like Belgium and the Netherlands. Netherlands about 17 million. Belgium 11 million to Swedens 10

Where, you guessed it. Sweden has less deaths.

Sweden also has not only seen a cease in deaths, but it's case rate is plummeting. Unlike Belgium and the Netherlands and most of the rest of Europe.

All without locking up.

Sure they botched their ability to protect the elderly in care homes, but they've since corrected that.

It looks like its case rate would HAVE to plummet to come back in line with its neighboring countries, no? Not really something to brag about.

If Sweden had 2,000 new cases per day a month ago and that “plummeted” to a few hundred, while Norway started at around 50 and only dropped to 36, it still seems weird to pat Sweden on the back

Is it against HIPPA laws for a “journalist” to ask if any student athletes have recovered from their illness due to COVID-19? Seems to me if it’s ok to ask if anyone has tested positive it’s ok to see how they’re feeling and hope that it’s good news .

4) The recent hearings with Barr. You want to talk about childish. The Far Left/Democratic Party are hypocritical and completely embarrassingly to this country. A thousand times worse than anything Trump has portrayed.
4) Biden, Pelosi and others condemning Trump for the China travel ban when it was the best option he had at the time to try and stop the virus entering our country.

China travel ban was incomplete and was never going to work in stopping a virus that was already widespread if that policy was implemented in the abscence of any other cohesive nation strategy. Keep hanging your hat on that....Seems to be working beautifully....Great call by genius Trump

I just read a similar article. Apparently, even the so-called “experts” can’t agree on what it takes.

Of course, the so-called “experts” also said there is no human-to-human transmission, masks are not required, and it didn’t arrive in the US until mid-February.

The “experts” have lost all credibility in my book. They would be better off just saying they don’t know instead of pretending to be the expert.

Reminds me of the line in the Don Henley song Garden of Allah that goes,...I’m an expert because I say I am...”.

We’re dealing with a bunch of fools. At least the doctors I know and talk to admit they are not sure why the virus reacts the way it does. Their honesty is refreshing.

No doubt.....have you noticed how U.S. numbers are approx 1/4 of all cases. anybody that believes this is silly. We test.....China is covering up. Think Brazil or India doesn’t have more cases. Media spin.....
read where village of 15000 in Italy was quarantined, half the population had it the other half was asymptomatic.

computer models are only as good as the assumptions you input to the program. The models have to have some kind of base data manually input in order to come to a future prediction. Since no one really knows how this thing behaves its only a guess with what you think you know now.

I know that you want to believe the fantasy that you've crafted in your head, that "Sweden didn't do anything, and are now fine", and their economy is booming, but that's just not the case.

Sweden has double the population of Denmark, but a far lower population density: Sweden 64/sq.mile, Denmark 364/sq.mile. Under Sweden's plan they saw over 5 times as many infections, and 10 times as many deaths as Denmark, even though Denmark is a population density that is 5 times greater than Swedens.

Every one of the Nordic countries surrounding Sweden have decreasing daily infection rates, stop pretending that Sweden is some sort of outlier, they aren't in anyway except the greater number of infections and deaths as opposed to their neighbors.

Because posting scientific studies and expert opinions, is some how tantamount to believing that covid 19 is a "democrat hoax to keep Trump from betting re-elected" or that "every health department in the united states is colluding to inflate the covid 19 death toll by listing every death as covid 19"?
