I love that it was someone like Harvey Updyke who poisoned the trees because he really is the epitome of their fanbase. Wasn't even from the state of Alabama, much less went to school there. Said he was living in Texas at the time Bear Bryant died and "didn't understand" the Alabama-Auburn rivalry, the cited a non-existent story about Auburn rolling Toomer's Corner after Bear Bryant died as "justification" for poisoning the trees.
