2020 Presidential Race

Texas could happen is Mike Bloomberg opened up his checkbook. But it could go either way. The DCCC is pumping tons of money into both Texas and Georgia. But I think both are up for grabs because of their changing demographics. Texas isn’t the Texas of 20 years ago.

Biden Reaffirms Plan To Cancel Student Debt, Reduce Racial Inequality

Former Vice President Joe Biden, the presumptive Democratic candidate for President, has reaffirmed his plan to cancel student loan debt to stimulate the economy and reduce racial disparities in higher education.

Biden previously released his student loan plan in April. His proposal would forgive all undergraduate federal student loan debt for borrowers who attended public colleges and universities, as well as historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs) and private minority-serving institutions (MSIs). Borrowers who earn an income of less than $125,000 per year would be eligible for student loan forgiveness.

Biden’s plan also provides for debt-free community college, and free college at public colleges and universities for all families who make under $125,000 per year. And he would crack down on predatory for-profit colleges, allowing borrowers to obtain loan forgiveness if they are defrauded by these schools, which disproportionately prey on students of color.

Joe Biden: ‘We Can’t Rebuild Our Economy and Meet this Crimate Clisis’

Joe Biden got tongue-tied while reading a teleprompter on Tuesday, saying, “We can’t rebuild our economy and meet this crimate clisis.”

After Biden first approached the podium, he attempted a joke, which promptly fell flat.

“Good afternoon everyone,” he said. “Welcome to Kingswood Community Center,” he continued, before standing for several moments, mouth agape.

“Actually, that’s the one down where I used to work. That was a joke,” Biden said.

No one could be heard laughing.

Another time, a reporter was forced to correct the candidate when he misstated the city that was to host the Republican National Convention.

Biden said it would be in Tallahassee, and a journalist responded, “Jacksonville?”

“I mean Jacksonville…Florida,” Biden said.

Milwaukee police release photos of suspect in Trump supporter's shooting death

Milwaukee police have released photos of a suspect in the shooting death last week of a Rastafarian community fixture who was a supporter of President Trump.

Bernell Trammell, 60, was killed Thursday afternoon, shocking those who knew him as a peaceful man. The murder prompted calls from leading Wisconsin Republicans for a federal probe to determine if the killing had to do with his politics.

Trammell was shot in front of signs he had put in a storefront window expressing his support for Trump’s reelection.

Politico accidentally reports Biden picked Kamala Harris as his running mate

'We regret the error and any confusion that it caused,' the outlet told Fox News

Politico appears to have jumped the gun on reporting that Kamala Harris was chosen to be Joe Biden's running mate.

Biden, set to announce his VP pick next week, was beaten to the punch by Politico in its "running-mate rundown," which indicated that he chose the California senator on August 1.

"Joe Biden chose Kamala Harris to become his running mate for the 2020 election on Aug. 1, two weeks before the Democratic National Convention, after keeping his choice close to the chest for months," Politico wrote about the potential Democratic ticket.

I find Biden to be palatable, at the very least, in many regards when it comes to both policy and general tone/demeanor; this, assuredly, is not one of those instances and I cannot for the life of me fathom how a student loan forgiveness/free post-secondary education plan helps to endear Biden to middle America.

That is a Massive amount of money.

Go look at Virginia in 2008 and the 2018 midterms and comeback to me. Ted Cruz only won in 2018 by 2.6 points in a high turnout year.
