TV money bridges the $ gap for SEC games. These stupid cupgames rely on ticket sales to bolster revenue. Hope to see those disappear. I like a shortened season with only important games. The City of Knoxville is where this financially hurts. Small businesses, etc. Athletics will be fine.

Play Ball!

Front office: “How about the Reds?”
Lawyers: “No, that’s too close to Redskins. Still offensive.”
Front office: “Ok. Senators?”
Lawyers: “Too political.”
Front office: “Huskies!”
Lawyers: “Too polarizing to dog lovers, makes fun of fat people, and it’s racist.”

Front office: “Well shoot...”

Front office: "What about the "Washington Silly Nannies"? Hmm?"

Lawyers: "Cultural appropriation."

Y’all may remember me as that guy a few months ago that ate a quintuple burger at Five Guys after they gave me extra patties.

Tonight, round two happened again. I ordered the standard double. I gave a tip on top of it. I unwrap the burger and it’s a quadruple burger. How am I so blessed?

Meanwhile, your arteries are...

Just make it SEC only... We have to play Oklahoma meanwhile Georgia gets Tech and Bama gets no one... BS

Still don't think we are going to play this year with all the politics of it

Eh, I think playing Oklahoma is cool. It's a weird year and it's probably going to be hard for bowl games and playoffs to be played this year. So Georgia and Bama playing weaker competition doesn't do much for them for program momentum or in terms of them getting an easier path to a championship (if there is one this year). It's basically a free win for them for the record books and nothing more.

Whereas, playing Oklahoma gives us one of the few true big-time games that will be played this year, especially non-conference, and if we win, it's a HUGE boost for the program. In a season like this, I'd much rather roll the dice and play a prime time game against Oklahoma and lose close with a lot of the country is watching than play gimme game against Duke where we're playing on the 4pm SEC Network time slot.

A small reserve? My eye!!! Football has been one of the most profitable programs in the country, even in a down decade for us. SEC schools are getting a butt load of money from the network every year. What in the world are they doing with this money? A school like Tennessee should be able to navigate a shortened season with lower attendance.
Ima go with shiz coaches getting crazy contracts and multimillion dollar buyouts for years and years.

Looks like NCAA is going to follow the newly released CDC guidelines in regards to testing moving forward, which states that after a positive test and recovery of symptoms (after 10 days) you no longer need to be retested for at least 3 months. Also, during this 3 month period if you are around a positive person you do not have to go back into quarantine because you are considered immune during this time. this will be a huge development and is going to reward the programs who have had massive outbreaks on their teams. things just got reallllly interesting!

Meh I'm excited to play them. Big time national game without the BVS dread of the UF and Bama games. Don't feel it's a year to care about records anyway. Everything will come with an asterik and an excuse. And everyone will play like shite
