2020 Presidential Race

Biden doesn’t even need to do much at the debates. Not smell anyone and remember his name will be enough. And trump fans will be mad at that assessment but it’s the truth.
This is true... By suggesting that Biden has dementia, the Trump campaign has actually helped to set a very low bar for Biden to clear in the debates. Biden doesn't have to look like Lincoln taking down Stephen Douglas in order to reassure independent voters of his cognitive state. Biden just has to show a command of the facts and sound sure of himself.

Few things better than watching the Trump campaign help out the opposition.

The sad thing is they don’t even realize it. There is not a single historic indicator that suggests Trump is in a good spot. I hope the lesson is when you elect an a-hole, and he continues to act like one, he will tank your party.

Civiqs is an online polling company that only polls people that sign up to be polled. A good rule of thumb: If you don't see the poll on Real Clear Politics, then it's not legitimate. You will never see Civiqs, Trafalgar Group, Gravis, or Zogby on RCP.com.

Wait a second, I thought polls didn't matter?
Right. Republicans/conservatives/Trump supporters are constantly reminding us of 2016 and how polls don't mean anything, but they will also post anything they can find which shows Trump with a lead - even when it's basically just a paid advertisement like this.

And the love for ignoring that the polls were pretty close last election

And are quick to call any thing negative about Trump as media bias, biased polling, unicorns affecting the polling, etc.

I didn't say it mattered. Or it was accurate. Just wanted to see the response. It was predictable and humorless. Next time I'll replace the source at the bottom with something ridiculous.

Transcript from "cognitively there" Lord Red Hat's interview tonight on Fox News.

I waded into that cesspool of Fox News for part of the interview. You're welcome. Why they thought this was a good look for the President is beyond me, but whatevs.

Trump has been doing this for a long time now. It's basically the same old boast "I'm a very stable genius," over and over. Would a truly intelligent head of state, secure in who they are, spend so much time reassuring the public that they don't have a diminished mental capacity, or would they just carry on with their daily responsibilities and trust that their actions would not arouse such concerns? This is weird. Who is he trying to convince here? The American voters or himself? Trump is such an insecure man.

More than anything else, Donald Trump comes across as insecure. When a person feels it necessary to repeatedly insist to the public "I'm not losing my mind," then something has already gone awry somewhere. That Donald Trump keeps doing this also shows a lack of self-awareness. Trump doesn't realize how other people perceive this as being a pathetic plea. Who needs to argue that they aren't crazy? Someone who is, in fact, going crazy - THAT'S WHO!

He's an incredibly petty and insecure person. Otherwise, he wouldn't do or say a majority of the **** he does. Like this cognitive test. Why, as President of the United States, would you even want to float the possibility that you are mentally unfit to hold office? And why would you think a simple test designed for stroke victims would alleviate any of those fears from folks? I don't get it, but I'm cool with it. Anything that hurts his reelection chances, especially wounds that are self-inflicted, is completely fine by me.

I hope his campaign staff keep sending him out there doing just what he did in this interview. Especially with the garbled words, misspoken words and incomplete sentences, and failing to remember key details of a test he took to gauge his cognitive ability. Keep at it GOP, please and thanks.
