There are two big vaccine candidates starting phase III trials. One is the Moderna mRNA vaccine. They recently had phase I safety data published in NEJM and it looked really good for phase I. It produced neutralizing antibodies. I am actually signing up to receive either placebo or the 100 ug dose as part of the phase III study.

The other is Oxford's viral vector vaccine that should have phase I data being released next week. They are performing phase II and phase III trials simultaneously. Both are ramping production of vaccines before completion of phase III to decrease the time, assuming they will get positive results.
Read an article published online by San Fran paper, about how natural anti bodies wear off. Not sure how this correlates to a vaccine?

Made it about 1/3 way, just skimming. Cited no real sources so. Then looked for other related articles. Really could have been fear mongering.

Early on, I read as many articles about Covid. Its relation to Mers & Sars. And development phase of vaccine. Then, about the subsequent types (Moderna vs Pittsburgh, etc.)

Really had it not been for Mers & Sars, we'd be effed for about another decade.

I would say strongly contributed to the spread instead of caused it. But the political crap has made this so much harder than it could have been.
Last thing ill say on the political crap. Cause I know we're all sick of it. I agree with the above statement, 110%, adding that for most part - up to this point - with exception of Thompson - my vote has been unidirectional.

Everyone is guilty after this **** storm. No one is exempt.

This statistic shows the Rt of COVID-19 in the United States as of July 16, 2020, by state. Rt shows the transmission rate of a virus and is an important measure of how quickly a virus is spreading. Rt represents the average number of people who become infected by an infectious person. A value under 1 signals it is expected there will be fewer cases in that area, whereas a value of over 1 means there will be more cases. As of July 16, 2020, Montana had the highest Rt value of any U.S. state.

I know the odds are long, but two young guys I hope really ball out this year and find a way on an NFL roster next year is Darrel Middleton and Brandon Johnson.

Middleton was a guy I was critical come signing day. I wasn't convinced he would ever have an impact here because the whole "just got by being a bigger kid and has never wanted to play defense" narrative. Defense is kind of a mentality and you either have it or you don't. But I have to concede that the kid looked pretty damned disruptive at times last year. IIRC it was against Alabama he was wrecking dudes. Plus it would be good to see a home town kid make it big.

Brandon Johnson - I mean, I don't know, I can't really explain it but I kind of had an affinity for guys like him, Tyler Byrd, CFA etc who all came in under the previous regime, but stuck it out even when things weren't going their way. Johnson led the team in receptions as a sophmore and considering his bloodlines (Chad Johnsons nephew) I think it would've been easy for him to have an ego and want to transfer after he was set to take a back seat to the JJ/MC/JP trio these past two years under a new staff. But he's stuck it out and even volunteered to redshirt last year to better help the team this year. Josh Palmer looks like he could be a #1. Gibbs seems like an unknown, but one hell of an athlete. Keyton has flashed, as has Tillman - but honestly both are probably another year away from taking lead roles. I'm hoping Johnson - now a 5th year senior - has developed into a crafty, dangerous veteran out of the slot.

As always, I'll be rooting for everyone in orange, but those are two guys I'll especially be rooting for to find a way.

I posted it in another forum but I’d like some recommendations from my home thread.

I’m in need of a new meat probe. I’d like one that has an app preferably so I can watch my temps from anywhere.

Nice picks. Pulling for both as well.

BJ has truly stuck it out through the good and bad and sacrificed last year to help the WR corps and his chance to get noticed.

Like you, I was skeptical about Middleton, but he balled out at times last year. Should be a force this year.

Good chance for Savion Williams now with Gooden gone.
He sort of looked like a project last year. Hopefully his S&C has improved YoY.

If he is not ready, wonder if he is open to taking a redshirt? We are losing so many bodies, would be great to talk 1 or even 2 guys into a RS. Especially if we only play 8 games this year. "Here, play half the schedule and take a RS". Not a bad deal during a truncated season.

Lol. Have to make it political. Why?

So sick of it being political. It’s decency at this point and some have lost it. I, and others, couldn’t help that a cop murdered someone, and it sparked a movement.

I have been to church, and my conservative church of 3500-4000 people is having services of 40 people. So many others believe the same thing.
Public Health “Experts” in this country made it political - when they decided who could protest, and who could not. Who could gather, and who could not... right down political lines.

I understand completely Bass’ (and Millions of other Americans) anger, and lack of trust, with experts whose opinions change so freely based on who is the target of their feedback.

They may be speaking the truth, now, but they have lost all credibility with Millions.

So when we push football to the Spring which of our guys will sit out? I’ve got Cade Mays and Trey Smith. Who else?

That's probably about it. Honestly if we played in the spring a lot of really good JR and SR players would want to sit for the draft. This would help out season because we don't have many.
