How you doing man?

Good, thanks for asking. Taste and smell starting to come back, wife's having a bit harder of a time with it, but she has seizures and a vitamin D deficiency that keeps her immune system down. She's slowly pulling through it. My teenagers where asymptomatic throughout.

As I understand it a lot of people DO have “natural immunity” to Covid. It’s been said most of us have been exposed to a number of different coronaviruses over the course of our lives. Studies have suggested that many times the number of reported Covid-19 cases already exist or have existed in the country since this started. Different people have different responses to the virus. I think I’ve posted before that over the course of my life I’ve almost never gotten sick, not the flu, not a cold, nothing. Obviously, working in corporate offices and socializing, I’ve been around people who have symptoms of seasonal viruses but if I’ve ever pick it up I’ve been asymptomatic. I’ve been fortunate.

From June 25:

CDC says COVID-19 cases in U.S. may be 10 times higher than reported

I feel like that's why NY's numbers have improved so much. If you take NY's number of confirmed cases and multiply by 10, you have roughly 50% of the population. Herd immunity at work? Maybe they just got hit hard at once instead of it dragging out.

And the governor sending people back into nursing homes

There are exponentially more people that have been exposed or would have tested positive if they were ever tested. Plus it doesn’t help it’s taking over a week to get results back here in Knox County. My employee had a fever and went to get tested last Saturday and still hasn’t gotten his results back. He was in the office and feeling fine last Friday. So if he does test positive does it even make sense for the rest of us in the office to go get tested? Everyone else feels fine but it would be at least a week before we got our results and by that time it would be over two weeks since we were “exposed” to it.

I bet a lot of “positive” cases have already recovered by the time the results come back.

Out of 12 biopsy samples, 2 were cancerous. One was a 3+4, so 7, and the other was 4+4, so 8. And I'm 62.
@OrangenSC still praying for you friend. You have several options for sure and I would be encouraged that only 2 came back. I’m not a doctor but through my limited knowledge of going through this myself those are almost exactly the same results of biopsy I had and it hadn’t spread to lymph nodes or bone and through robotic removal surgery was able to get it all. I’m here for any questions or just prayers.

Alright guys, need an assist here. I’ve gotta get my work car fixed because I’m burning up my tires on my new Tacoma to the point that I’m gonna end up having to get another set next month. It’s a 2007 Aveo (I know you’re laughing thinking about a 6’5” dude driving that) and I’m having issues with something to do with the starter. I bought a new one and replaced it & all the car will do is white but not actually turn the engine over. Battery is good and all that jazz. I’ve been told so many different things about what it could be that I just don’t feel comfortable going any further on my own and need to just have it towed to a local shop & have it diagnosed and potentially fixed if the price is right (thanks Covid). I need some options of places in North Knoxville preferably to minimize tow bill cost since I reside in the Halls/Corryton area. HALP

I use Ralph's Automotive in Halls. He's not the cheapest, but he won't lie to you. TIFWIW

Did you check your fuses and relays?

First, find a cliff and either push the Aveo over the edge or sell it to one of those pull a part places, then go buy a Honda Accord cheap and drive it forever. I paid $1K for a 96 Honda Accord in 2005 and drove it for the next 12 years.

I just don’t have the spare cash to go buy something else and I owe just a little on it since I thought it’d be a good credit builder. Again thanks Covid cuz I really could’ve used the money I’m using for payments now but anyways. Luckily it’s not a stupid amount I owe for it but I feel that if I tried to junk it they’d not give me hardly anything for it

Man, that’s great news. Hoping for a quick and full recovery for everyone.

I have a 94 I bought for 1200 and I use that to drive to work and back. Accord ex sunroof, radio and ac work. It’s a good car. I had replace right rear caliper recently but I can handle that kind of payment (one time) :)
