In Virginia looking towards the winter for high school basketball, the plan being proposed is for home games you may have immediate family limited to parents and siblings or your primary caregiver. For away games you may have 1 parent or your caregiver. No students or normal fans will be allowed, media will be allowed.Simple, nobody congregates in large crows to watch those sports.
My answer expressed the likelihood that Stitt caught coronavirus at the rally or from someone who got sick there. Scientists believe the rally caused the uptick in OK cases. Three Weeks After Trump's Tulsa Rally, Oklahoma Reports Record High COVID-19 Numbers
Here's a little nugget for you from WedMD: On average, symptoms showed up in the newly infected person about 5 days after contact. Rarely, symptoms appeared as soon as 2 days after exposure. Most people with symptoms had them by day 12. And most of the other ill people were sick by day 14. In rare cases, symptoms can show up after 14 days. Researchers think this happens with about 1 out of every 100 people.
Honestly you have more of a chance dying in a car wreck than dying from COVID.Man these numbers are just ridiculous....and it is pointing more and more to us overestimating the seriousness of this. Of course nobody wants anybody to die, but when I hear something like 120 people died and like 90% were over 75 years old...I just kind of shrug my shoulders and ask why this is news. Even if it was actually CV that killed them, at that age falling down stairs or or having a stroke is probably just as likely and just as deadly.
There is a narrative being pushed and the stats are being broadcasted to frame it as a national emergency in which no matter what our leaders do there can be fault found and blamed leveled.
The bottom line is this is a virus that makes makes some healthy people sick, and is one of a 1000 things that can - and will - kill old or susceptible people.

I'm legitimately asking this. Are we even having this discussion of Cuomo doesn't send all of those people back into nursing homes? I think I've read 40% of NY deaths are related to that.Right, but the older or sicker you get, the less true that is. The problem, is that is all gets lumped together without context and suddenly the narrative is you don't wear a mask or social distance or shut down the economy it will kill a bunch of people (but evidently protesting is safe).
It's pretty clear the situation is this:
There is a new virus. It makes some people sick, some of the time. Old and sick people are getting it and dieing, of a lot of things.
However, the narrative of the situation is this:
This is a new and deadly virus. Massive amounts of people, maybe even millions, will die if we don't shut everything down. Wear a mask, social distance, and give up your rights...or you are killing people.

how thrilling for the students -- clowns in Illinois are proposing players wear masks while playing all sports. I might add to your Virginia -- are college recruiters allowed at games ?In Virginia looking towards the winter for high school basketball, the plan being proposed is for home games you may have immediate family limited to parents and siblings or your primary caregiver. Now that i agree with 100%. I think a lot of issues are being multiplied by a ton due to it being an election year.I really believe yes. I don't think it is the death count itself. I think this is a presidential election year, the coverage generates ratings for the 24-hour news cycle, and it is low hanging fodder to politically attack rivals (from both parties).
