The article mentioned some properties bearing Trump's name went bankrupt. He was not responsible for the bankruptcy and did not sustain capital loss because he had nothing invested and no ownership.

In fact, he made money on the restructure/liquidation.

Admirable.

The CDC seems to have been woefully prepared for a legit pandemic. Odd, considering their name.

In one sense, it's a big number compared to where we've been on new hospitalizations, suggesting we are still trending worse. But, if we want to contextualize it, it is also useful to look at it against the NY curve (similar state populations). There, we can see that while large, it pales in comparison to peak admission rate in NY.

They at least report the numbers. There were some flawed individual reports coming from a few hospitals in Florida, which is now being corrected in data submission. But Trump and his minions are using that technical error to falsely claim "conspiracy!" and to justify complete political control over the data from here on out.
