IF YOU COULD CHANGE THE UNIFORM, WHAT (IF ANY) WOULD YOU CHANGE? THE HELMET? THE JERSERYS? THE PANTS?...CLEATS? WOULD YOU ADD SOME BLACK TO THE UNIFORM(S)

HELMET= BLACK FACEMASKS IN OCTOBER? OR ANY OTHER MONTH? OR NOT AT ALL? ORANGE HELMETS WITH BLACK "T", OR WITH WHITE"T"...(personally I think we should leave the helmet alone...)

JERSEYS= BLACK JERSEYS WITH NUMBERS IN WHITE OR ORANGE WITH THE TRIMM IN THE OPPOSITE? EVEN WITH DIFFERENT FONT ON THE NUMBERS...WHAT FONT?

PANTS= ORANGE WITH A HUGH BLACK STRIPE ON THE SIDES?, BLACK WITH ORANGE TRIMMED IN WHITE ON THE SIDES OR THE HELMET STRIPE? OR HUGH WHITE STRIPE ON SIDES? OR ORANGE WITH WHITE OR BLACK HUGH STRIPE ON SIDES?

THIS IS JUST SUGGESTIONS, FANTASY...WHAT WOULD YOU DO, IF ANYTHING, I KNOW THE VOLS WOULD LOOK KICK ASS IN BLACK UNIFORMS, I AM NOT SUGGESTING IN ANY WAY THEY SHOULD GO TO THAT BUT IT WOULD BE GREAT TO HAVE A HELL OF A LOT OF LATTITUDE IN THE COLORS OF UNIFORMS.


THIS IS JUST "WHAT WOULD YOU DO" USE YOUR IMMAGINATION AND LETS HEAR IT, AND IF ANYONE OUTTHERE HAS ANY KIND OF PROGRAM WHERE WE CAN SEE THE RESULTS PLEASE COME FORWARD.

I AM NOT LOOKING TO CHANGE THE UNIFORM, I AM POSTING THIS IN HOPES TO STIMULATE SOME COOL THOUGHT, IF YOU FEEL THE UNIFORMS ARE GOOD THE WAY THEY ARE PLEASE DONT RESPOND.....THIS IS JUST FOR FUN AND IT WOULD BE GREAT TO SEE WHAT THE FANS THINK.

ON A SIDE NOTE, THE OREGON DUCKS HAS HAD SOME KICK BUTT UNIFORMS AND IF YA WANT TAKE A NOTE FROM THEM. AS A FORMER HS AND COLLEGE FOOTBALL PLAYER ANY PLAYER FEELS GOOD IF THEY FEEL GOOD ABOUT THE UNIFORM THEY PUT ON.
GO VOLS AND I HOPE TO SEE SOME COOL INPUT...GOD BLESS YOU ALL

first of all I would start by not posting a wall of text in all caps. :p then i would make absolutely no changes to the home uniform, go with the orange pants we wore against UCLA for the road, and take the black outline and black lettering out of the road jersey

One of our most recognized and traditional sight in TN football is the orange and white checkerboard endzone. Why not make the jerseys with checkerboard on the sides or the top of the sleeves near the shoulder pads. Instead of a stripe on the pants make it checkerboard.

Orange tops, White Pants, with Orange Checkerboard. Then Road games all white, with an Orange Outline for the numbers, and white Numbers themselves.....then the checkerboard down the pants.....That would be sick....and mandatory Mid High Socks/White Cleats/Arm sleeve things (the ones E.B. Wears).

The only post on here worth a retort....Thats cool, maybe something to concider for future uniforms...

The volnation brains put my post or merged it...oh well I was hoping to break the ice, the tension, divert minds to something good, but it seems the hitler youth said no.

uniforms are important and for those of you who have never suited up...you will never know...

(did I say that right...am I ok here...) me in tears....(just dont blow the whistle...)

They probably merged it simply because that seems to be what they always do with any sort of uniform things. We've been through so many uniform threads in the past that finally they just decided to put it all in this one place.

I agree that this idea, if done right has some interesting potential to look kind of cool. On the other hand, it also has potential to go horribly wrong.

My point is look at programs like Alabama, Penn. St., Ohio St., USC, Texas, Auburn etc. They've had virtually the same look for years now. They don't change based on a new fashion or trends or any crap like that.

I would also like to add that whoever the next coach is i hope that he leaves everything the way it is uniform wise,just wear the orange pants at least 3 times a year!

This could look good if done right, but hideous if done wrong. I think if you did the checkerboard thing with the collar of the jersey/elastic on the arms it would look okay. Similar to how FSU has the feather'd look on their collar, and I think Bama did this for one game a year or two ago with the houndstooth. Would be interesting to see it PS'd...you might have just given me something to do for the morning.

Kids, esp in basketball woud rather be in Nikes or Jordan. I think in a recruits eyes it improves your image and brand. Go to any basketball court and I gurantee you'll see Jordans and Nikes. Nobody is hooping in Addidas.

I would like to see the team back in solid white pants. The old road whites, before the orange stripe, looked neat and respectable.

If there is one thing I would add, it would be a very thin black border surrounding the T on the helmet, just to make it stand out. In the right width it wouldn't be noticeable but would help the helmet decoration to have a little more clarity from a distance.

Black outs are stupid. The only things that look cool are white and yellow outs. Please don't take this as a racial statement, cuz it's not, but blackouts don't work unless all the white folks paint their faces black too. Penn State area is predominantly white, so when ya add the white shirts it all blends in w/ the white skin. When I had Maryland season seats they tried a black out. It looked awful because:

#1-people still has yellow and red on their black shirts and
#2-White skin took away from the effect of the black out.

So a blackout at UT would look awful cuz you'd have all those black shirst up against all the white faces...doesn't flow and make the stadium look like it's surrounded by black. Penn State looks COMPLETELY white when they do.
