You're very kind to say so. :)

And all that started only a few months after losing everything in the fire. My life since January of last year has been crazier and sappier than a country and western song (David Allen Coe would reject it for being too over the top/unbelievable) but I try and take things in small steps and as they come. I used to think in large spans of time but now I think in terms of what will tomorrow be like? A week has become 'a long time' for me. And I've learned that if a day is a 'good day' I need to make the most of it because time has become very finite. I don't sweat the small stuff like I used to but I do worry more now than I ever have in my life about big things. I still think that with some luck and maybe a divine assist we can make it back to palliative care, eventually a transplant, and live happily ever after even though I know the chances are smaller than I'm comfortable accepting. I think it keeps us both fighting for me to say 'come hell or high water I'm not giving up.' And I think when you're faced with it, it's kinda the only way you can be and not go completely bonkers.

I think you're probably much tougher than you think are but I hope that you never find out for sure how tough but I don't think any of us are as self-sufficient as they were. There have just been too many changes that have made it so that we don't have to be but if a zombie apocalypse happened, I think people would eventually figure it out. We'd have to reinvent the wheel in many ways because we've forgotten a lot of knowledge they'd take for granted as everyone knowing because they were raised with it but after many embarrassing failures and self-inflicted injuries humans would figure it out. I'm sure they'd get a good laugh at some of the things we'd try during that learning process.

Well, you are one of the strongest single Fathers' I have known based off of what I have seen. Is there anything we can do to help?

I wouldn’t call an 10-16 month developed vaccine a rush to market. They’re testing multiple potential vaccines as we speak. I think it’s a risk worth taking anyway. You can’t allow something like this to own everything about daily life forever. The jelly backbone mentality isn’t helping. There’s a reason European countries are returning to somewhat normal already and we’re lagging behind horribly. We didn’t take strong enough action early, now we’re paying the price.
Without extensive testing and proof of effacacy, it's rushed.

“Haven’t won with the mask.” What does that mean? Mask help but are not a cure. Help that was not embraced at the highest level of leadership. But, we have a country with a shocking number of selfish “don’t tell me what to do types”. Meanwhile, our results are worse than many developed countries and we damaged the economy indefinitely. We have 132,000 incremental deaths in about 3.5 months. So, how can anyone say it’s just pushing fear irrationally.
If you would like to meet in the PF by all means. But I'm not going to clutter this thread with that debate again.

Football getting pushed to spring or potentially canceled this year (God forbid) could have some interesting effects on the pecking order in CFB once the game is finally played. All it would take is a few upper-tier teams mishandling the layoff and a few teams looking to break through that handle it very well and a big part of the landscape could get shaken up.
I would worry about injuries too. If the season started on time the following season a torn ACL likely means 2 missed seasons. Would be just as messy.

UT is racist

That’s not true at all. Paraphrasing, she said that our track record with no black head coaches of any sport did not show leadership compared to others in the SEC. That’s true. And the comments were to the board which is exactly the kind of things boards should and do discuss. She wasn’t ranting to the media or on twitter like some.

Dude, that’s how most Zombie Apocalypses happen...man made virus gone wrong or man made rushed vaccines gone wrong. Let’s do it right.

Definitely no football if zombies start happening. 🧟‍♂️ 🧟‍♀️

Don't worry, us military folks will get it tested or for ya. Word on the street is that we'll get ours in September.

They always test the rushed vaccine on the military, then we have no coordinated effort to quell the zombies.

Dang, I hate when they hit the military first. Apocalypse happens rapidly that way

My heart breaks for you but I know that regardless of what happens you and your brother will make the right decisions. You might doubt and agonize over them (I do) but I know you will act in your father's best interests and out of love and that is all that anyone could ever ask for.

Thoughts and prayers for you and your entire family. May you receive healing, guidance, and comfort.

Thanks, Prof. Especially appreciate the bolded. Confidence and assurance is key. Thank you.

🤔😂 I actually love this take on my comment. Some people are getting way outta shape on a simple debate statement that was given. I’m in no way shape or form trying to diminish the fact that it’s to be taken very seriously and be cognizant of. I’m all for whatever steps that need to be taken.
