There is NO DOUBT whatsoever that most voters, and non-voters alike, know full well that Sleepy Joe Biden is in no way fit to be president, or have the ability to endure the Rigors of a presidential campaign, unless he does so while ensconced inside his basement.

... and there is no way that Trump could have watched that video and not heard the "White Power!" slogan spoken very clearly from :09 to :12 seconds in. It was said 3 separate times.

This video of a postal worker taking it upon himself or herself to throw the campaign material of a candidate they oppose into a dumpster just reinforces the case against it. Mail-in voting provides tremendous leeway for fraud. What if this individual had tossed a stack of ballots into the dumpster rather than campaign material? And what if this particular election had been close? A postal worker could, in effect, decide an election.

Joe Biden's current standing in the polls, lends plenty of doubt as to the validity of your hypothesis.

... and you didn't answer my question: Are polls reliable or not? You seem to be suggesting that polls are reliable, as long as they report data that you enjoy reading. You can't have it both ways.

Ford ran against Carter in 76, and that election was closer than a lot of people think it was. There have been several, for various reasons, who didn't run, but not in my lifetime.
It's an interesting question who would be the nominee in that situation.
My guess is that the joint chiefs already have a plan in place to deal with the shenanigans Trump is liable to pull if he does run and loses the election.

What I said was that you do not need a poll to know that most people know that Sleepy Joe is not a mentally or physically fit candidate for president. Even my Leftist musician next door neighbor said Biden is not physically capable of campaigning against Trump, unless it is done from his Basement.

That's the million dollar question. If they don't feel confident Pence could win, why wouldn't they pull out a mystery candidate? This is all unlikely to happen anyway(which sucks because I'm for it), but I think a lot would rest on how GOP leadership views Pence.

I don't think "most people" agree with you. You are projecting your beliefs on to everyone else.

I don't think that Donald Trump is fit to be the President of the United States of America. Trump just re-tweeted a video of an old white man saying "White Power!" (twice), followed by another old white man repeating it... but the White House claims that Trump watched the video and didn't hear it... when it is plain as day on the video from only 9 to 12 seconds in. How stupid is that?

However, I will not project my belief onto others, or pretend to speak for anyone else.

I also think the delegates at the convention would pick a new candidate. If he dropped out afterwards I have no idea what happens. The RNC might get to pick.

Trump did nothing wrong. The man in the photo did not commit an act of violence, such as looting or burning stores, or beating a young white man within an inch of his life.

The man in the video (more than just a photo), shouted "White Power!" which is a white supremacist slogan. Trump re-tweeted it, as if it was something he enjoyed seeing... but the most stupid part of this, is that he claims to not have heard it. Watch that video, it happens from only 9 to 12 seconds in. You can't miss it. It is quite audible what is being said.
