Poll: Only Half of Michigan Voters Say Biden Is ‘Mentally and Physically’ Up to Task of the Presidency

Key battleground state voters remain unsure on Joe Biden’s (D) ability to “mentally and physically” handle the duties of the presidency, a Restoration PAC poll released this week found.

Voters across three key Rust Belt states — Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania — were asked, “Do you believe Joe Biden is fully up the task mentally and physically to handle the duties of president of the United States?”

Despite the surveys showing Biden leading President Trump by double digits in each of the states, voters appear to remain unsure if the former vice president is up to the task of the presidency.

Slightly over 50 percent of Michigan voters said “yes,” Biden is up to the task. However, 40.2 percent said “no,” and another 9.5 percent indicated that they were “undecided” on the matter. Similarly, 50 percent of respondents in Wisconsin expressed confidence in Biden, while 42.2 percent said “no” and 7.8 percent remained undecided.

Pennsylvania voters expressed similar sentiments. Only 48.7 percent said Biden was up to the task both mentally and physically, compared to 45 percent who said “no” and 6.3 percent who remained unsure. Across the board, the results are virtually split between those who definitively say Biden is mentally and physically able to handle the presidency and those who said “no” and remain uncertain.

Biden came under fire on Thursday after falsely stating that the coronavirus had killed 120 million people — right before a live stream of his event in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, appeared to glitch out.

US Postal Worker Seen Tossing Campaign Mailers Into Dumpster; And We Should Trust Them With Ballots?

Ft. Bend County (Texas) Sheriff and Republican candidate for Congress Troy Nehls received a phone call from people who heard a noise and saw a U.S. postal worker walking away from a dumpster. The postal worker drove away. When the people looked into the dumpster, they saw a stack of Nehls’ campaign mailers on top.

I am not a lawyer, but if I recall correctly, tampering with the mail is a federal crime.

A large photo of a person in a jail cell is shown on the U.S. Post Office’s website, with the caption, “Tampering with mail will get you a new home, new friends and a new job.”

Interfering with an election is also a crime (18 U.S. Code § 595. Interference by administrative employees of Federal, State, or Territorial Governments).

Over and above tampering with the mail and interfering with an election is the statement this makes about mail-in voting. This video of a postal worker taking it upon himself or herself to throw the campaign material of a candidate they oppose into a dumpster just reinforces the case against it. Mail-in voting provides tremendous leeway for fraud. What if this individual had tossed a stack of ballots into the dumpster rather than campaign material? And what if this particular election had been close? A postal worker could, in effect, decide an election.

Biden Shows Us – Again – That He Is Not Alright; Australian Billionaire Thinks He Has Alzheimer’s

In the brief clip below, #BarelyThereBiden confuses President Obama with President Trump. Biden looks old and feeble and speaks in slow, halting speech. He tells his audience, “People..have watched my..me on television. And they’ve watched and the more that Barack, the more that – excuse me – Donald Trump is out…”

As Democrats continue to ignore and, when pressed, to deny Biden’s current cognitive decline, the brief clip below offers a glimpse of how foreigners view his condition. A Sky News Australia reporter asks billionaire Clive Palmer if he thinks Trump will win reelection.

Palmer, who believes Biden has Alzheimer’s, replies:
I think when he goes into a debate with Joe Biden and poor old Joe can’t remember where he is…I think Trump will romp him. Because it’s quite incredible that the Democrats have endorsed someone that does have Alzheimer’s disease I believe. He doesn’t know where he is half the time. And he’s not going to be very effective as a President, so I think that’ll come out and I think that’s what will happen. It is interesting to note at this time in the election cycle, Hillary was 12 points ahead of Trump. This time Joe Biden’s allegedly 4% ahead of Hillary, so Trump’s doing a lot better now than he was back then and he still won.

His biggest fear is not not being POTUS, it's losing to a fkn joke like Biden
I believe that, but the optics of dropping out of a campaign just two months before his party's convention, when he is the incumbent candidate and the presumptive nominee of the party, would be just as bad as going ahead and getting trounced in the election. He would disappoint so many of his avid followers as well. He would also turn himself into a pariah inside of the Republican Party, among the many Republican members of Congress who have staked their own reputations on their unconditional support and defense of him. I'm talking about sycophants like Devin Nunes, Jim Jordan, Doug Collins and Matt Gaetz. Dropping out of the race would really be under-cutting those people. It would also be unprecedented this close to the party convention. I don't think he can do it.

I doubt this will happen but it’s out there now.
From Fox News

That would really be something. I don't recall a president who didn't campaign for the next term. Did Gerald Ford choose not to run, maybe?

I wonder what pos the GOP would choose to run in his stead. Pence, I guess?

Trump Signs an Executive Order to Defund States Which Don’t Protect Public Statues, Including Those of Jesus

It’s official: The President is cracking down on monument mayhem.

As previously covered by RedState’s streiff (with one of my favorite RS headlines of all time), on Tuesday, Trump tweeted against those wishing to take down or otherwise damage U.S. property:

“I have authorized the Federal Government to arrest anyone who vandalizes or destroys any monument, statue or other such Federal property in the U.S. with up to 10 years in prison, per the Veteran’s Memorial Preservation Act, or such other laws that may be pertinent. This action is taken effective immediately, but may also be used retroactively for destruction or vandalism already caused. There will be no exceptions!”
Friday night, protection took another step forward — the Commander-in-Chief signed into action an order seeking to safeguard national monuments with the leverage of federal funding.

The order instructs the DOJ and Attorney General Bill Barr to prosecute anyone who “destroys, damages, vandalizes, or desecrates a monument, memorial, or statue within the United States or otherwise vandalizes government property.”

According to the New York Post, the dictate also extends to “religious property” — specifically Jesus as well as any “other religious figure or religious art works.”

In addition, Bill’s directed to take legal action against “any person or any entity that participates in efforts to incite violence or other illegal activity in connection with the riots and acts of vandalism.”

And here comes the leverage: Any “state and local governments that have failed to protect public monuments, memorials, and statues from destruction or vandalism” won’t be getting any federal grants.

Furthermore, executive branch agency heads are told to ensure all federally-funded programs comply with the order.

The guy means business — also Friday, he tweeted out photos of 15 people who attempted but failed to topple a monument to Andrew Jackson facing the White House.

I have noticed that while simultaneously down-playing the significance of polls which show Joe Biden with a large lead, you actually do post quite a few polls yourself (when they serve your political ideology). Are polls reliable or not? You can't have it both ways.

If DJT has proven anything, he doesn't care what the fallout is to those in his wake. I could totally see him dropping out.

And just so you know, this poll that Breitbart is touting was conducted by the Restoration PAC. They are a conservative, national security oriented super PAC.

... and once again, you keep suggesting that polls are not trustworthy. Or is it more likely that you do trust polls - as long as their polling data is either saying something positive about a Republican, or saying something negative about a Democrat?

He could just say he has health concerns or something like that.

OK, so there is no pretending that POTUS didn't hear "white power". I guess they could say he retweeted without watching.

I'm surprised by how many nice-looking boomers are completely immature, ugly people. One of the most mind-blowing lessons of becoming an adult was the realization that adults don't act like adults.
