No one is running away. It’s a waste of time to engage a few of you. Facts escape you. You want to present and have others accept alternate facts. When you can’t make your alternate facts seem logical you deflect to other irrelevant points

I now wear a mask in public and have for the past 16 weeks or so. I social distance too. Why because both considerations are key to flatten the curve and, personally, while I exhibit no symptoms I am aware that even the asymptomatic, can transmit this COVID-19. For the first time in my 77 years I wear a mask as suggested by the CDC and the Pence Task force that the President just permitted to speak Today for the first time since the end of April

Think about it the worst pandemic in the last 100 years an this President has forbidden this task force to televise health updates to it’s citizen

But back to your point. Heretofore it has never been recommended by anyone that the public wear mask as a courtesy to the well being of fellow citizens and as a tool to flatten the curve. Had it been a recommendation heretofore I would have done so. It is a civic duty for each of us to help protect each other. All of us except Trump, Pence and their blind sheep followers

That’s always the best way to get the public to trust you. Lie to them for the sake of others. That’s been the most shameful thing about this. Medical professionals, in charge of protecting the public, admitting to Lying to us. And they wonder why people aren’t trusting them? Complete **** show.

Not recommended and then recommended bc they wanted to insure front lines people had it. You said it yourself. That’s lying anyway you cut it and destroys your credibility. “Your” not being you.

They did lie. I am merely speaking to their credibility. I do wear a mask in all places that ask out of respect for the operator of that business. I would also invite you to play a game. Ask medical professionals you know the following:

1.) Will wearing a mask help prevent from spreading this virus - They will answer yes
2.) Is wearing a mask improperly, causing me to touch my face more often and not wash my hands after touching, more likely to make me sick then not wearing one? - I typically get a long pause. A discussion about community spread. Then an admission that you are worse wearing one if you won’t wear it properly.
3.) Do you think most people wear it properly, avoid touching it, and wash their hands when they do? - Another long pause and an eventual admission that most people will wear it wrong and endanger themselves more.

Not understanding how wearing a mask is equivalent to shutting the economy? We should never have shut the economy down and just mandated social distancing and wearing a mask in public. It really isn’t that difficult

Social distancing drives all kinds of limitations on businesses which hurt the economy. The cloth mask is simply window dressing and about as effective as the TSA at stopping anything serious

You can maintain some semblance of social distancing in nearly every business. It may mean you can’t cram 100k fans into a football stadium or eat at the chocolate waterfall in Golden Corral but most businesses have adjusted

But their costs haven't. Can a restaurant at 25% capacity write a check for 25% of rent, water, power? What about the other 75% of employees who aren't needed? This charade is absolutely killing businesses

Charade?? Over 2,000,000 cases since 2/26/2020 when Trump proclaimed 2 cases and they will be gone in days

2,000,000 + cases in 4 months. Yeah. Charade seems like the perfect term
