Egg is actually a year old (to me). Planned on holding off getting one until our next move where I could build the whole outdoor setup I wanted but my MIL surprised her husband with an XL egg for Father’s Day a year ago and I got his only 3 or so year old L version.

Everyone I talk to who has experience with both prefer the KJ. Think that’s what I’ve settled on, basically the same as the egg but with more features.
