2020 Presidential Race

He’s a politician, Hill.
Even if he went back on his word, not sure he could pick Obama. As VP, he would become POTUS if something happened to Biden. The 22nd Amendment limits a POTUS to two terms or 10 years. So a situation would be created where he could not serve out a term if something happened to Biden prior to being in office for two years.

Agree. I don’t really believe that would happen.

You think a little thing like an amendment to the Constitution would stop Democrats? They would wipe on it if that would help them get power.

The question would ultimately be decided by the supreme court.

The Constitution is not clear on the issus despite the 12th and 20th Amendments.

One could argue that your scenario would allow for an obama V.P. because it passes the 12amendment eligibility requirement and the 22nd 10year max time in office. There is no requirement to finish a term. If needed, the VP that obama would choose would finish the term.

It's also going to be fun watching a Republican Senator who has aggressively denounced gay marriage, and who has also fought against protections against discrimination for gays in the workforce, now cope with accusations that he has been using a male escort service for many years.

Do you really think this will only be an awkward situation for Democrats? I don't care about anyone being gay, but you look like a phony when you are a homophobic gay. If this story is true, then Lindsey Graham is so deep in the closet, he is tripping over Christmas presents.

Been rumored in South Carolina for years. Not the escort part but the homosexual portion.

Some are still saying Hillary and Michelle ....... will be the ticket brought forward during the DNC convention.
I really don't care because there's no way a Democrat being elected to be the POTUS.
Some are saying? Who? People who would vote for any Republican? No matter who it was? You are in denial over the appeal of your own candidate. Trump will not be re-elected with a 54% disapproval rating... no matter how much the Trump flunky's at the Bureau of Labor Statistics try to cook the numbers on the unemployment rate. (... and they know damn well that the unemployment rate is higher than 13.3%. They even admitted that in the May jobs report.)

"The Lincoln Project" is really busting Trump's chops. Those are well-produced, compelling ads and they are made all the more persuasive because "The Lincoln Project" is comprised of conservative Republicans, who have a conscience, and are speaking the truth about their own candidate. There has never been such a well-funded movement against an incumbent President, from within the same party before. This is unprecedented and it makes Trump look weak.

I don't think he has "promised" but even if he did, since when are politicians expected to keep their promises?
Isn't lying one of the chief arguments against Trump? Yet here you are suggesting it's okay if Biden lies. Your double standard is showing.
