Systemic Racism

It’s impossible to have open dialogue about it because everything a white person says will be deemed “insensitive” or “racist”. People get admonished for saying nothing then when they do they get attacked. Drew Brees had to apologize for saying absolutely nothing wrong as did the Broncos head coach and FSU’s head coach. It’s apparent some people want to be outraged no matter what.
If I have to here a another pretentious protester use the term "dialogue" I may well throw up.

The amount of insanity going on in this country is startling. People falling all over themselves to appear "woke". Political figures pandering in some of the most condescending ways possible. Riots and protests though the violence seems to be tapering off except for some isolated cases. Cities throwing the good out with the bad.

We need quality leadership but it's been absent at both the national and local levels.

Most of this is due to covid. Most of these protesters are unemployed or have been hiding out in their homes for months, not making money and going stir crazy. This has led to one of the most extreme overreactions to a literal statistically insignificant issue and a opened window of opportunity to get back to committing crime and violence. I've always said protesters have no lives and that has never been more true than now. If you are out protesting you probably have a sh!t job and nothing better to do which is why we see whats going on now. People will screech about change, politicians will pander, celebrities will pander, all will point fingers at White people but nothing significant will happen to truly appease those desperate to strip White Americans of all of their wealth and power, because thats all this is about.

I actually think that is a wise bit of advice. You don't need to be calling the police over every inconvenience or to be snitching on your neighbors.

I know several that have been silent about it or downplayed the pervasiveness of police brutality.

Does that count?
I don't think it is as bad as some want to make it appear. Also, I have never walked a mile in their shoes and been spit on, cussed, hit, had urine thrown on me, had to physically run down trash, wrestle them to the ground and handcuff them, had co-workers shot and killed, etc. If one cooperates, it usually goes much more smoothly. You are a complete dumbass if you try to fight them.

When you say pervasiveness please explain. Thanks in advance.
Meaning that police harassment and abuse happens far too often across the country, not just in small pockets here or there. And race isn't a major factor because you have abusive black cops and you have abused white civilians. Cops, in general, have a problem that they do not seem to want to correct internally. So now it needs to be done externally.

Does any of this abuse happen when one cooperates?

What do you honestly want done to help their interactions with honest, compliment, law abiding citizens?

I have never had a problem with them. Some are on a power trip, but the few times I have been stopped, I was polite and had no problems. I did get a couple of tickets, but talked my way out of a couple by being pleasant.

Exactly. If I get pulled over for speeding I give them my info and take my ticket or sometimes it’s just a warning. I’ve been targeted late at night when I’m sure they’re just looking for someone up to no good. I think they got me for a tag light once and after they saw I wasn’t under the influence and had all my s*** in order he just said to get it fixed. Another time late at night they got me for not using a signal at a 4 way when I was going straight. He was definitely just searching for something to mess with me about and he was in the wrong but my stuff was in order and I didn’t have a reason for him to f*** with me so he let me go.

I was driving home from one day A cop pulled up behind me very close and followed me . I change lanes to allow him to pass, he changed lanes behind me, he pulled me over saying that I was swerving and asked if I had been drinking. I told him I just got off work. It was the fact that he was so close behind me, it may be paranoid And apparently it made me swerve so he pulls me over. I knew he was going to oull me over.

Thank you Ras. I believe we have a similar ethnic background. What I am hinting at is prevalent is a subjective measurement. For some prevalent could be as few as once while other could think prevalent has a totally different meaning. Is it 2% or 10% of the force if they are bad cops that make it prevalent issue?

There is no doubt that there needs to be continued hiring, training, technology and policy improvements within the police departments. This should be treated as priority but when partisan agendas across the board become the objective the the real goals are undermined.

Police officers are public servants so I get more care should be taken when dealing with people but there are bad people in college and professional sports, Hollywood, in corporate board rooms, etc. We have seen it over and over and over. Never a protest. Life happens. I'm not being dismissive but I'm just pointing out the sensationalism of this topic is dangerous. We have 340 million people in this country.

Last year I had some of my property damaged by rogue members of society. As my family was sitting in my home, like many of my neighbors I spoke with, shots rang out up and down the street in the darkness. Later I find out several neighbors made non emergency calls as no one could identify any assailants because it seemed to be moving shots. In total it sounded like up to 24 shots on multiple occassions. Days later, I realized my property had taken a bullet and was damaged enough to cost thousands of dollars. I filed a police report. When the officer came by, I asked her why don't we see more of you guys around here. It makes me encouraged that our neighborhood would be safer. And she told me, nobody wants to get the assignment to work in this part of town. She said my neighborhood is not bad but some of the apartment complexes nearby are problems but the police officers sometimes don't want to patrol the neighborhoods where they are needed the most.

It's not a choice they make which neighborhoods they're in. Does that mean they already have preconceived notions? Does that mean they are already on the edge? Does it mean they just don't want the BS that comes with it? Does it mean they just make it home? Lots of questions. What I know is without them we are in a world of hurt. Not only would crime go up, citizens would feel the need to feel the gap.

We could get into a lot of other topics. There are sub topics to get into. I won't get into those. Sometimes the same objective that all Americans seek including black Americans are hijacked by poisonous agendas. Even more important is we should not propagate group think. And when you see these protests are filled with teenagers and people who may have just come out of college it gives me a couple of thoughts: 1) I'm glad to see the next generation but but it also makes me wonder 2) is there a dangerous indoctrination happening like it terrorist countries where kids are being convinced at an early age their country is racist? Remember Bernie Sanders wanted the voting age moved up to 16 years old. There is a reason for this. Then you see the mob on social media liking videos by white kids who are cursing their parents. This is the stuff of evil not good.

What do you think the main problem is?

You want to know why this is going on?

This
Romans 1:28 NKJV And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting;

Romans 1:32 NKJV who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.

I hope this isnt being considered a troll post
