Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

Not sure if this is true or not, but assuming it is, this is exactly why we can't take the sheer genius approach of "stay safe, stay home" until there's a vaccine. There may never be a vaccine. That's a reality that some need to wake up to.

I’m not taking a vaccine until there is reliable data, years of data, showing it’s not harmful. Why do people sign up to be human guinea pigs? Nothing to live for? Idk.

A surgical mask is for droplets, not .06 micron virus spheres.

You really aren't that bright are you? People aren't asking you wear a mask to prevent you from inhaling the virus, they're asking you to wear a mask to cut down the potential of you hacking your germs all over them.

@Orange_Vol1321 Always fascinating to watch the people who bellyache about fake news, work so hard to spread fake news.

Well genius, put on your mask and blow at some dust on a table and let me know if it moves. The mask isn't stopping you from getting the virus and the mask isn't keeping you from giving it to someone.

Its reducing the distance and severity of me getting germs on others. I refuse to believe you're this obtuse.

To clarify, I wasn't speaking to the stock sales. That appears to have been legal from what I can tell. Bad optics perhaps, but nothing illegal. I was speaking to the fort-russ or whatever that website was. It had the look of conspiracy theory HQ, but regardless, I do still think "stay safe, stay home" needs to be discarded. There are no guarantees that we will have a vaccine.

I understand, @Orange_Vol1321 and friends have a M.O. of holding out fringe conspiracy sites and tweets as "proof", oblivious to the fact that they undermine their own cries of not trusting the MSM. It'd be hysterical if it weren't so sad.

Well, your question is a perfect paradox. If people didn't get the vaccine until there was a bunch of data, there would never be any data and no one would ever get the vaccine.

By the time a vaccine hits the market I can pretty much guarantee it will be less risky than getting the virus, and there will be publicly available data to support that claim.

It's a weird dichotomy of people who brag about being willing to take whatever risk from the virus but balk so quickly at the prospect of a vaccine.

Personally, I have no problem taking my chances from the virus, but if I don't have the antibodies and a vaccine shows up, obviously it is in my best interest to take it, for multiple reasons. I would think most people are in that boat.

Pretty sure the argument isn't that the mask is there to protect you, it's there to slow down and shorten the throw of your germs out into the wild.
No. It only serves to protect the person wearing it. And the virus is hanging in the air in a very thick fog just like Sheetrock dust on a job site. That fog is so thick that if you could see it you could cut it with a knife.
