Memorial Day Thread

Thanks, ORB! You truly have a silver tongue.

That's the last bite of what used to be several dark chocolate and sea salt covered caramels. I'm addicted to them and the red wine just begs for them.

I wished I still liked sweets, stinks. I’ll take the cheese and crackers though.

St. Francis Old Vine Zin, in tribute to all the players we signed from St. Francis Academy.

Sonoma Valley is beautiful. We put an offer on a house about 5 miles from St. Francis when we were looking in Santa Rosa, but it was rejected.

The bride and I used to drive up to Napa/Sonoma and stay for 4 or 5 days, drink our way thru the wineries and haul cases of wine home. Only go every few years now. Beautiful area!

u said "we". Is your butler and maid the royal "we" or are you actually married?

When we lived in SF and Oakland we would go up at least one day on a weekend 3 times a month, often more. Once we moved to Napa we went wine tasting much less.

No sweets?! Dang, that's too bad. What happened? (Unless its a war story with missing body parts, etc.)

Lol, nothing like that. About 2 years ago, I had a lot of things coming at me from all sides, also, Doctor upped my thyroid medicine and eating food became more of a chore than enjoyment. I started noticing that the things I loved to eat, I couldn’t stand anymore (chicken, pork, sweets, etc). Now I’m more or less a vegetarian (still like beef).
