He doesn’t have the quickness and foot speed that Dobbs had at UT. Dobbs knew that he could get out of pressure with his feet if needed. But, JG has a better arm in terms of strength and accuracy. If he’s asked to throw it on a spot on the field for the WR to go get, he excels at that. Obviously, playing QB is much more than that, and that’s is problem, he can adapt, improvise and overcome when things break down.

Huh? You think JG can throw to a spot on the field and let receivers go get it? Show me one pass where he led a receiver on a throw.....

just throwing it out there that Dobbs did launch a pass @Georgia from our 40 basically into the back of the endzone and to elaborate further because of Dobbs ability to run is why we won games..our Oline those years were horrible and were masked by Dobbs ability to run...if you’re a nfl scout I’d retire now. Would’ve missed a lot...and a season if he’d have gotten his way. You’re well aware that we’re talking off-season of a coaching change. He wasn’t IMMEDIATELY reinstated. If he’d have approached Pruitt with the “bit** a** n*****s” tag line, he’d have been gone. He didn’t, sold himself as contrite and accountable, and worked like a dog until Pruitt adopted him. As Vols fans, we should be happy how it worked out.

If Dobbs was our QB last year...we are minimum...I say minimum 10-2. First two games are obviously wins...and we beat Bama. That would leave FL and GA games. Who knows what could have changed in those with Dobbs in.
