Hey @Bassmaster_Vol was it you who was saying how well Maurer was doing in the Mississippi State game the other day? I agree with you, however, that injury he sustained in the game and then the injury he somehow got to his leg I think has ruined him. Don’t think he will ever be 100% might explain why at the beginning of Spring Practice this year Shrout was the #2.

Yes, it was me. He never looked the same after the Bama game. I don’t know what happened. Before then he could really move the ball and hit our receivers.

Kirby Butch Smart still showing he has a development problem. Outside of o-line(Pittman gone) and RB(it's what UGA does, and now they are switching to spread ha) UGA and Smart hasn't sent these highly ranked kids to the NFL like LSU, Bama, tOSU & Clemson has. Especially on the d-line and edge. UGA will be exposed soon enough

I don’t think Chaney gets enough credit for OL scouting and development.

Pruitt and Co. would be crazy not to. Hell just look at what Pruitt did with Toot compared to what Smart has done with Quay Walker, Tisdale etc. Those kids have yet to make a single play, let alone start a game. You can dive even deeper and compare what he did with a fringe 4 star WR in Bryce Thompson compared to what Smart did with 5 star corner out of Miami in that same class Tyson Campbell. I'm sorry but that's why whenever UGA lands a highly ranked guy it just doesn't bother me like it seems to do other guys in our fanbase. I've seen this movie before, when Butch was here.

I believe traits like character and desire have to be in the equation. Pruitt and Chaney seem to require it more so than Kirby and others who only care about a star ranking.

Dang i can barely stand on mine. Feels like it is going to dislocate on me sometimes. It partially did when it first happened. Mine was old injury, a car wreck backed when I was 16. Had no trouble with it till now. Mine snapped in my sleep when I was flipping over. Doctor said it is common and it happened to him. Sucks man I can't use a clutch on a big truck now, my job, scared it might dislocate on me. I hope I can see a surgeon soon. Hope yours gets better too mane.

I wouldn’t count him out yet, he’s a baller and if they coach him up and get him in the weight room he could win the starting job over JG if Pruitt will give him a chance.
