Vol girl fans thread

Hi y'all!

Everything is fine here, at least I think so. Maybe?

I started having some maybe-symptoms of you-know-what on Easter Sunday (a sore throat like I've never had before in my life, as if I had swallowed ground-up glass, and swollen lymph nodes below my jaw.) I apologize for my late night Sunday freak-out., which was a direct result of these new not-fun signs. On Monday morning, I decided that I needed to step back from social media for a while and just live in the real for a while. And so I did.

One week later, I still have the sore throat, my lymph glands are still swollen. (I pretty much never have that happen, maybe once in every 10 or 15 years or so.) But nothing has "progressed" (gotten worse), and nothing new has appeared. I still have a dry, hacky cough, but I pretty much do all the time, courtesy of asthma and probably the lisinopril I take for high blood pressure (ACEi cough.). No fever, no shortness of breath other than the usual asthma crap, and DH hasn't had any symptoms.

So who knows. It would be nice to think that I've had one of those barely-there COVID-19 infections that just never progressed to fever and lung involvement, and maybe gave me future immunity, but no telling. The tests, even if you can get them, just aren't reliable enough, and we just don't know enough about acquired immunity to this thing.

In the meantime, it's amazing what you can get accomplished day-to-day when you're not on VN. :p

Catch y'all later.

Glad to see you, take care of yourself (sounds like you are). Hope to see you soon on here. I know what you mean about accomplishing when not on VN. Enjoy the spring time.

Good to hear all is sorta well.

Comments... I used to take lisinopril and that gave me a dry cough.... moved me off of it to Amlodipine and that took care of the cough.
Do you think you are having a tonsil reaction... sounds similar.
We'd normally put you on KP for a week for going AWOL, but Joe has that position locked up... he can't get right.

😕, I have to take lisinopril and Amlodipine for my blood pressure. Welp.

Glad you're okay!! We're praying for you, and we're not prying with the tags, we hust love ya!

Huh... I was told they do the same thing. One or the other should do the same. Not sure... I'm not a doctor, but I did stay at the Ritz Carlton.
They do, lisinopril wasn’t taking my bp down enough (bp was over 203 over 115 at the time), hence the amlodipine also.

Have your doc switch you to losartin and watch the cough disappear. I was the same way.

YIKES, that was high. What about Metoprolol? I take the combo, Meto and Amlodipine. Keeps me at 120/80.
I used to take losartin and meto but lost enough weight to get off the losartin. Meto, I was told was more of a heart rate regulator and secondary BP. I presented with aphib one time for about 18 hours and got taken off the meto and put on diltiazim and eliquis. Gained weight back and put back on losartin. Best I have felt in a long time was the meto losartin combo.

There is a bug going around which is not covid-19 coronavirus. It begins with a sore throat and persistent dry cough. Unlike covid-19, there is not a spike in fever.

I texted my wife earlier, and told her to find her a new dress online somewhere. Nothing makes that girl more happy, as far as material things for herself, than a new dress for church. Brownie points!!
I would be careful going places your governor isn't to smart he admitted he didn't make business close in the beginning because he didn't know people could have it with no symptoms. And he didn't talk with the Atlanta mayor and he is just opening everything up. Tennessee's Governor at least left our major cities up to the mayor's

It'll be something delivered.
