I don’t think the counting is as inaccurate as you suggest.

You compare it to a CDC flu deaths number that is roughly FIVE TIMES HIGHER than the number of laboratory-confirmed each year, but say you can’t get an accurate picture of COVID deaths because some states are counting probables (roughly 5000 of over 42000 deaths) and if you die while you have CV you are a confirmed death (so natural causes might be 1000 of the 42,000). These counting issues that some have seized on aren’t nearly the issue they want to think they are.

Their death rate is what it is. You think they are euthanizing people? That stat was just showing deaths vs normal for this time of year. That’s not a counting issue. They making up death certificates? That was one city vs countries. Go look at cities not nearly as dense as NY across northern Italy. I’m sure it’s not as much of an outlier as it looked in that stat.
