But seriously, much respect to you for serving and for the views you express. You and I have children that are similar in age and I try to teach them what my Grandfather (Army doctor in WWII) and my uncle (Vietnam vet) we're able to share with me.

I imagine that you impart a unique perspective to your kids as they grow up and help them understand what those who came before us sacrificed to make America and the world what it is today.

Not just me my friend. You forgot. I am old. While I have a 9 and 4 year old now...I already had a 33 and 30 year old. My oldest son was also a Marine...1/3 Lava Dogs...Fallujah. I remember the day my son came home and said...I now know why you could never talked about it...last we've ever talked about it. I now cry thinking about it. Not for me...but for my son.

Ok, ok this thread is way out of balance so let me get us back in balance. Its why you guys pay me the big bucks. So here we go let me get started. Our recruiting class is in shambles. Its already April and look at us how weak our class is. The coaches are all at fault and should be held responsible and fired. We only have 8 months until first signing day what are we going to do? :eek: If I left anything out please feel free to fill in the blanks. Also, I need the banner about they are lifting weights getting ready for the Fall thingy.
Whew, I don't know about you guys but I feel better already. Back in balance. I will be watching and I will be back to help you all stay in balance. Remember. I am watching you all!

For all you MJ fans, ESPN is going to air "The Last Dance" this weekend. It's an interview with MJ over 20 years ago. Might be worth the look for all you MJ nuts.

Why worry? Season is gonna get cancelled along with NSD. So we can all just watch soccer for a year.

Right so where I'm at after seeing what he went through and the thousands that died or came home mangled to no ticker tape parades I say...

F Korea. They should have figured it out themselves or oh no a communist Korea ..oh well.

And F Vietnam. That was even worse.

To add on to what @BaldBiker was saying in the Junior Colson thread, I've noticed something while working retail.

Younguns these days don't have the in-state loyalty.

But you don't see a self-respecting boomer wearing no damn bama shirt, I can always get a conversation going about UT with them, unlike the zoomers

My dad was also in Korea. Army. He was a preacher when I was born. When I told him I had joined the Marine Corp, his only words to me were "God help you". I only saw my dad once, before he died, after that. We never said a word to each other about the things in had seen or done...but in that short time...we said thousands of words to each other with our eyes. Decades later...from his experience...he could tell, from his experience, that something was bothering me.

To this day... I don't know how my dad became a preacher after that. I've been retired dang near 20 years and am still trying to figure sh** out.

It is what it is, and we all figure, or try to figure it out differently. I will never begrudge a brother in arms that. THAT is their right! They gave up all others. Let them keep that one...without you judging them for it.
