well, fortunately soon you can skip every class in school - never apply yourself and potentially make $15-$20 an hour flippin burgers. there's your inflation.

i dont think people are going to rush out. if anything this has shown us how much bull **** we spend money on.

instead of a switch it will be a dimmer slowly getting turned up.
People being tightwads makes the world suck. If nobody spends money, nobody makes money...and you're right..while 15 an hour for flipping burgers sounds like too much, maybe more like 12 sounds right..nobody can live on minimum wage now...and on top of that, why do you care what anybody makes for doing a shite job nobody wants?

Strengthening my glutes and flexing them when I stand up has helped a lot. Standing desk is good, keeping hip flexors loose are all counterintuitive things that actually have helped my back a lot.

Not counterintuitive at all hip flexors tighten excessively with prolonged sitting. Sexentary jobs at regular desks cause a ton of back issues. I see it all the time. My problem is getting patients to buy in to the fact that tight muscles is the cause of their back pain. Most now want a pill or a shot with absolutely no effort by the patient in fixing their issue...

I’ve toyed around with it in the past

Personal experience, short term relief that may be placebo, then you need repeat visits. Over time, it may improve, but was it the treatment or just the passing of time that made it better?

Research is all over the place on it.

Probably need to try to identify the root issue, which my doctor was of no benefit. I’ve learned much more on my own

You went to the wrong doctor 😁

I do a lot of workouts to help my lower back including glutes because I have something going on in my lower back that the Drs shrug their shoulders over and say “it’s probably just a strain”. Never know when or how it’s gonna go but it does about once a year and always from some weird non weight bearing movement.

Lower back went out working in the garden over the weekend as I bent down to pick up weeds. It’s frustrating as heck.

If you are ever in Texas, come see me...

I want one of those sexentary jobs, but it should be easy to design an office chair that reduces the risk of back injuries during your work activities.

100+% agree. First hand experience as I have stated on here. Once I loosened the hip flexors and leg muscles, the back issues left. Now I just use some exercises and techniques I learned to stay loose and all is well. I was a desk jockey in a business career for a lot of years - it caught up to me.

Those are blood proteins, maybe?
They are antibodies produced in response to infectious organisms. IgG is an antibody that provides long lasting protection, and IgM is an antibody produced in the face of acute infection. Easiest way to look at it is one is a short term protection and the other a long-term protection.

No joke, have some terrible lower back pain and it basically gets so tight if I sit on a bed or anything that doesn’t support my back. Any suggestions here? I’ve probably had constant back pain for about 3 years now.

Do Not sleep on your stomach. Sleep on your back with pillow under knees or on your side with your knees bent up. Stretch your Hamstrings a lot. Tight hamstrings put lots of extra stress on your lower back. Also an Inversion Table

The best lower back pain remedy I have ever done was walk on a treadmill, steep incline, backwards. I had bulging L4 and L5. Did this for 3 mos and was completely healed. I still do ever feel months for a 2-3 weeks straight and haven’t had lower back problems for 10+ years. And this includes continuing to squat and deadlift.

But are the jobs paying minimum wage the ones meant to provide a living? Some people demand more money for a job that a computer can do, then lose their job to a computer. There are so many jobs willing to pay more than minimum wage. Even in those same fast-food restaurants. They practically beg people to be shift-leaders and work their way toward managing.

Hips getting out of alignment may be a cause of this as well. Had issues so bad I could not walk. Literally shuffled bent over into the chiro visit. They used the activator method and got my hips back into alignment. Two weeks later I was able to walk 10,000 steps per day again. Taught me a few techniques like the legs extended up a wall with my tail against the baseboard that I still do regularly. Stretches the hamstrings and calves, which also pulls the hips out of alignment if they get to tight.

An inversion table should help with that as well. However, for me it was getting the hips right first.

Flexibility is definitely key.
