Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

I don’t even know what to make of this:

After Anonymous Tip, 17 Bodies Found at Nursing Home Hit by Virus

I guess this is part of the problem.
No tracking of nursing home/long term care deaths... this is what can happen.

My father is 90 and my mother 85 and they insist on living in a stand alone house with no real assistance. Things like this will make them even more resistant to a group care/living situation when the time comes. And who could blame them?

Not until he’s taking heat for overseeing the worst outbreak in the world. Donnie has to place blame somewhere... he’s has more “hoaxes” around him in 3 years than anyone in human history. Ever heard of Occam’s razor?
Your first mistake is thinking a global pandemic that started in another country is "Trump's fault". He didn't develop the virus, didn't spread the virus. He looked to mitigate its spread with the information he had. His pandemic specialist, Dr. Fauci, is on video downplaying the virus in late January, most likely going on information he received from the WHO. People want to cite intelligent reports, yet are ignoring he was listening to the expert, Dr. Fauci. Without the WHO providing accurate information, everyone was acting blind. And considering all the projections, Trump has not done a terrible job of dealing with this crisis. I won't say he did great, but he didn't do bad either, and certainly not as bad as you want to suggest. And if China and the WHO had been upfront, perhaps we, as a country, could have done better. As is, Cuomo never needed all of those ventilators he said he did. Trump got raked over the coals for that, but he was right. Trump stopped travel, first from China, and again on what limited information the WHO was providing, and people screamed racism and xenophobia. But he was right. He didn't do everything perfect, and his diarrhea of the mouth was horrible, but he did not do this horrible job you want people to believe he did.

Unreal. People openly admitting to the fact that they like an egomaniac because he's open about it. Trump is fake AF in other ways. Let's not get crazy here.
Lol. You’re doing your best to lump me in as some Trump lover but you’re wrong. I’m just telling you that people do in fact like how brash he is and it’s because politicians have seemed like they are from other planets for the last 20+ years. He got rid of the prompter speeches, stood up there and called everyone out. People liked it.

The only crazy people in here are the one’s freaking out over him putting his name on the stimulus checks. Who gives af. The money is going out.

Do that dance. Poor Donnie, always being picked on for the bad things that happen around him.

Nobody forced Trump to claim that he had called the coronavirus outbreak a pandemic before the WHO had officially designated it as such... which was a brazen lie. Nobody forced Trump to boast about the Neilsen ratings of his press briefings while millions of Americans were being put out of work. Nobody forced Trump to run a campaign-style ad under the guise of a public service announcement in the middle of a press briefing. Nobody forced Trump to demand that his signature be placed on the stimulus checks being sent out... even though it had to go in the memo space line, because the president can not authorize funds from the U.S. Treasury.

As much as he loves to appeal to a sense of victimization, Trump brings most of his problems on himself with dishonesty, arrogance, self-absorption and misplaced priorities.

Again, the problem is that he was told 30 days ago, and in fact more than 30 days ago, that the virus was much more dangerous than China reported. He barred trips based on this information......

But then made the deliberate decision to downplay it for fear of the economic impact of taking the steps he was being told needed to be taken. Even as we saw things unfolding in Italy, and as we watched them gradually take the shut down steps that China took, Trump continued to irrationally deny the scope of it.

Trump does not bear all of the responsibility for the state we are in. But he certainly gets a fare share of it. I think what is so infuriating to people who are not blinded by loyalty to him is that he has the gall to brag about what is being done now, as if it suddenly dawned on him to take these actions when in fact for weeks and weeks he refused to do so, and despite being told the consequences. That he would now take credit for what he should have done long ago, and resisted, is real chutzpah!
Thanks W.H.O!

Try living in reality. The Trump obsessed world you've created for yourself has to be a miserable place.
Having an intense dislike for the guy, and pointing to his numerous faults while posting to a politics forum, is hardly an indicator of obsession or derangement. Trying to convince other people that every other politician is just as dishonest, arrogant, petty, self-serving and egotistical as Donald Trump, can't possibly be a great place to be either.

OT: My nerdy geekiness loves you for posting this but I think I hate you cause I fell off into the rabbit hole and stayed up laughing way to late. But, while hopping around I did find this beautiful gem that should vastly amuse any other tech nerds hanging around in here. Omg, this one is such pure gold that I had to share it.🤣🤣

There are a bunch of videos like that on youtube. This one English guy got into a system in India, accessed their CCTV, put faces with names after calling in over and over, got a drone to fly over their building, and had the cops nab them all.

100% true.

Gaetz calls for end to NIH grant to Wuhan virology lab, says it can be done with 'stroke of a pen'

Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., called on Health & Human Services Secretary Alex Azar Tuesday to cease funding a research grant to the Wuhan Institute of Virology in China, telling "Tucker Carlson Tonight" the action could be accomplished "with the stroke of a pen."

"I'm against funding Chinese research in our country, but I'm sure against funding it in China," Gaetz said. "The NIH [National Institutes of Health] gives a $3.7 million grant to the Wuhan Institute of Virology [and] they then advertise that they need coronavirus researchers and following that, coronavirus erupts in Wuhan."

The Mail on Sunday newspaper in the U.K. reported over the weekend that the Wuhan institute "undertook coronavirus experiments on mammals captured more than 1,000 miles away ... funded by a $3.7 million grant from the US [sic] government."
The paper also reported that the research results were published in November 2017, but the NIH "continues to license the laboratory to receive American money for experiments."
"What's really troubling to me is either conspicuously or miraculously the Wuhan Institute of Virology is able to sequence the virus on January 2 but China doesn't admit to the virus existing until January 9 and then the Wuhan Institute of Virology doesn't release this important scientific information to the world until January 12," Gaetz said.
"So at best, Americans are funding people who are lying to us and at worst, we're funding people who we knew had problems handling pathogens, who then birthed a monster virus onto the world," he added.
Gaetz is a drunk hack.....

Sit back and watch. It may be a few more news cycles before it penetrates your bubble.
It’s not high school students...... it was 1 high school student and his brother that sent out the tweet wanting Obama to do that.... a news organization ran with it followed by a few others claiming that many wanted him to give a commencement..... there examples were all older liberal adults retweeting saying it was a good idea.
