40 ppg against better players? I do doubt that. But PPG was never his problem. If anything, he could have simply been a bit more efficient and taken fewer bad shots. Opposite of Lebron. LBJ has been a more efficient scorer, but could take more shots in big situations. He tends to (imo overly) trust his teammates and make passes. Some dock him for that, some think it's a strength.

Imo, if you are the best player in the game, you should take the shots in the big games.

LBJ has deferred too often. So I still take Mike.

Better players lol. You could argue today's game has better players on the wing but Jordan had to contend with premier front courts in his era. You mention bad shots, I wonder how many bad shots were attempted do to the defense for a majority of his career. Yes, in today's game he would average 40. The dude would live at the charity stripe due to all the pansy fouls in the modern game. I mean LBJ seriously gets calls with a simple touch, he's not alone though in the NBA today. Doesn't matter anyway, GOATS don't flop all the time and they don't get their coach fired when they don't get their way

I member that ‘03 Bama game like it was last year. Had my 8-hour long fundamentals of engineering exam that day and felt terrible about it when I left. I was in a bad mood, but I expected to turn on the radio in the car and find my boys comfortably in the lead at the half to cheer me up.

Nope.

Had a cookout and bonfire that night too. We spent it all in great consternation until we finally won. A win, but it felt like a loss because we should’ve won it handily.
