What’s the difference between Chloroquine and hydroxychloroquine?
I have a good friend that’s a Vandy Cardiologist. He goes crazy on people mentioning these treatments. Of course Cardiologist will balk at it. I think if you have a severe case throw the Hail Mary. I hope they are doing tests on low doses. I think the “what do we have to lose” statement pissed off Cards. My buddy was non stop with “YOU CAN LOSE YOUR PULSE DON” on Facebook.Well that wasn’t smart
While it's a joke to some places in our country, it's been very real here in NYC. I saw this post today about a nurse going up from Orlando to NYC to help:
"I have a minute, and I know a lot of you have been checking in because I’ve been quiet the past few days, so I thought I’d shoot you guys a quick update.
Today is day 10 here on my NYC rescue assignment. It’s been a long, exhausting 10 days. I’m working night shift in an ER in south Bronx.
This experience has been life changing. I’m exhausted. Covid19 is everywhere here. The whole entire hospital is considered positive and you wear ppe from the moment you walk in till the moment you walk out.
The hospital I’m in is probably around 90% staffed by agency nurses because everyone is sick. The amount of damage Covid19 has had on NYC and the healthcare system here is terrifying because I know our healthcare everywhere else isn’t prepared for this kind of hit.
Covid19 is very isolating, it’s very devastating, and here in NYC it’s very very real. It also doesn’t discriminate. I have seen it from ages 16 all the way to 100. Patients are walking into this hospital, saying goodbye to their family thinking they will see them again as soon as they’re better, and they’re leaving in the back of a semi. The fear they must feel laying there struggling to breathe, all alone, is why I’m here.
I’m here so that there’s enough staff to safely take care of these patients. I’m here so that not all of them die with no one having the time to even have a conversation with them. I’m here because NYC is part of my country and I would hope that if my hometown gets hit like this, nurses would come to our rescue too.
I’m doing okay. The consecutive days, lack of sleep, and the non stop covid is exhausting. I am beyond appreciative of everyone who continues to check in. I can’t wait for a hug."
While I agree more contact was allowed before, as I mentioned earlier, there is waay more competition now, aka Lebron plays better competition night in and out. Their stats are mostly equal, though Lebron is a tad more efficient scorer, grabbed more boards and assists, MJ had more steals and fewer TOs.This MJ/Lebron discussion year after year is bizarre.
Nobody rose to the occasion and lifted his team on his back with the unstoppable will to win on offense and defense more or better than Michael Jordan. Seen a lot of HOF'ers play in person and on TV going back a lot of years. The game today is unlike virtually any period in the NBA's history. It is show time, minimal contact defense, and lax rules enforcement. So Lebron being compared to MJ is unfair to Lebron since he has never had to play the real game in his career.

Given the differences in time, I'm tempted to call it a draw, but I still lean toward MJ from childhood. Every kid from that era "wanted to be like Mike". But I accept it is probably just a bias.
The argument will continue for the next 10, 20, 30 years until arguing MJ or Lebron will be like Kareem, Russell, or Wilt today.
It's not bias. It's the truth. I really wish MJ would have never retired. It wouldn't be a conversation. He really only played 13 full years, basically lost two years due to a broken foot and a return from baseball. The guy would have scored at least 40k points on the low end. He would avg. close to 40 PPG in todays game.
