The rest of them don’t hold records. McGwire and Sosa aren’t in the HOF. Teams didn’t encourage it...just powerless to stop it because the player’s union were on a winning streak and it took Congress to get testing done. And then ONLY because a vast majority of players failed the anonymous testing despite being warned of the exact date...including Bonds. Bonds is a HOF player based on the other parts of his career. Couldn’t get this record straight so he cost himself.

MLB definitely reaped the short term benefits and encouraged the cheating. Prfessional baseball's entire history is a culture of breaking rules to gain an advantage.

Alright you can only choose one, what would y’all rather see?

1. Tiger Woods and Jack Nicklaus, both in their primes, final round pairing at The Masters. Tiger enters the day with a 1 stroke lead.

Or

2. Jordan vs Lebron, both in their primes and with their respective best teams, 7 game NBA Finals.

I gotta say, I’m taking Tiger and Jack at Augusta!

#2. Golf is boring to watch on TV.

Just some information. And I hate if this is true but in Tennessee, they are considering no secondary school contact sports for the entire year next year. Could be a rumor but from a good source and I pray it is wrong.

Good Decisions come from Experience. Experience comes from Bad Decisions? I believe that. I just feel bad for him. Had he not crapped the bed in his personal life, I think he would have punched through 18 majors easily. He still might, just getting much tougher.
In reality, the only chance Tiger has to break Jack's record is to win the Masters 4 more times. That is the only Major that is always played on the same course. If you look at his win totals, the majority of them came on a hand full of courses that he was comfortable playing. The Open, PGA and US Open are very difficult set ups and played on a different course every year. That's not Tiger's game.

Option 1 for sure. Option 2 is too one sided. Jordan wouldn’t break a sweat.

Agreed. I don’t see him doing it, but nobody saw him winning the Masters either.

3 US open wins: Pebble Beach, Torrey pines, Bethpage black

3 Open wins: St Andrews 2x, Royal Liverpool

4 PGA championships: Valhalla, Medinah x2, Southern Hills

For the one keeping count, that’s 9 different courses, including Augusta, for his major 15 majors. I’d say the narrative that Tiger can only win certain courses is pretty ridiculous. And, tbh, a pretty weak way to criticize a guy with 15 majors and 82 wins.

Golf is a funny game. He was never in charge of that tournament until the guys in front of him puked it away on the back nine on Sunday. That's golf though. It's not over until it's over. I doubt he can rely on that happening 4 more times.

That was in his prime. It had been 10 years since his last major win but whatever narrativize floats your boat. All of it will play out in the years to come though and I'm of the opinion that he will not break Jack's record.

There is golf. And there is Sunday at a major. It’s awesome.

1 round of golf or 7 NBA games between some of the best of their generation? 7 bball games alll day.

Lineups:

95-96 Bulls
Kerr
Jordan
Pippen
Rodman
Longley

Bench (14+ MPG)
Harper
Kukoc
Wennington

12-13 Heat
Chalmers
Wade
Allen
James
Bosh

Bench (14+ MPG)
Battier
Cole
Haslem
Chris "Birdman" Anderson
Miller
Lewis

I'd take Bulls in 6. Tbf they are considered the best, or top 2 of all-time. I'd be more curious to watch them vs the 9-loss Warrior team with their spread offense.
