Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

You think people want to attention church on Easter Sunday to “ own a lib “ ? I mean I suspected that you were closed minded but damn . This is going right over your head isn’t it ?

Yes, it's about owning the libs, because there are all sorts of options for holding services that don't involve packing people into tight spaces. Hell, if they insist on physical presence, hook-up a PA system and go to a huge field and sit families 100 feet apart.

The freakin Walmart here and all the grocery stores stay packed . I told NGV that I think people are just using them for an excuse to get out of the house .
Agreed. Folks are getting antsy especially with the nicer weather.
As soon as people feel safe, they will get back to normal life. Americans will not wait for a governor or president to signal, "all clear".

They still won’t allow it

So to confirm, you are in favor of the actions by the governor of Kentucky?
What he’s announced is dumb. Even if they get tag numbers, there’s no way to know who all was at the actual service. Nobody should get arrested over this. The church should just have the good sense to figure out another way.

The victim card is especially strong today.

I think everything should be open and quarantines should be for the at risk only.

That said, if large gatherings are banned or fines instituted or whatever other government overreach is happening is our reality in the name of public safety, then churches shouldn’t be exempt. I fail to see why they should get special treatment.

When I can go back to work and drink in a bar and go out to eat and see a movie, then you can go to church. Until then, we are all in the same boat and we are all being subjected to the heavy hand government.

Even a service in your car with the windows rolled up?

From the articles I read, they said (based on US military source, whatever that means) that the intelligence community had been tracking the virus since November, multiple government agencies were briefed in Nov and Dec, and that it made it into the PDP in January - so I took from those statements that the president wasn’t officially briefed until January.

Regardless, has it been proven what wasn’t correct about those? I just saw a statement from DNI or DIA, can’t recall, that there were inaccuracies in he reports.
Colonel Day, Director of NCMI, came out and said the report doesn’t exist. They normally don’t address statements made by the media but this one was so egregious that it drew him out.

I don’t have an issue with that.

I’m more relating to those that are complaining they can’t go sit in a congregation with hundreds of other people for Easter. Nobody is saying you can’t attend church, people are just whining because they can’t attend the way they want to.
